On a demand of /u/jakodrako, here is the list of cards that can't be found on any tournament-winning decklist on NetrunnerDB: - Wyrm - Lemuria...
Via /r/netrunner, hereās a fascinating list of cards that have neverĀ been featured in a tournament-winning decklist on Netrunnerdb. There are a lot of tournaments out there, of course, and not all of them have decklists reported to Netrunnerdb (someone should go through acoo.net and get all the ones that nrdb is missing). But still, this is an interesting list. It includes some head-scratchers:
Weyland Consortium: Because We Built It
Custom Biotics: Engineered for Success
Seriously, no one has won a tournament with those IDs? Of course they have. Right? Cāmon. Someone has to have won an old tournament with either of these IDs.
A few I know are oversights or just from tournaments so long ago that they predate Netrunnerdb:
Rabbit Hole
Blackguard
David Kempe had, unsurprisingly, Rabbit Hole in his winningĀ GenCon 2012 Icebreaker Tournament deck). He didnāt have many other choices and also needed to thin out that Kate deck. Iām about 99% sure that I saw a Silhouette deck that win a tournament in the past year was running Blackguard.
And then a pile of other cards that are commonly disparaged/mocked/rightfully-ignored:
Burke Bugs
Mamba
Gingerbread
Q-Coherence Chip
And so on. But, if youāve read this far, you can probably guess what Iām interested in ā how do we get some of these cards off of this list? And these uniformly ābadā cards just need slight shifts in the meta ā how will the new NBN tracer ICE (arriving next week) revitalize Gingerbread? Iām actually playing Q-Coherence Chips in my Apex and itās not bad, really.
Which are the most interesting/promising cards on here that shouldĀ be in a tournament winning decklist? Of course, some of them are just new (hi, Laramy Fisk) and will certainly win a tournament down the road, some might have possibilities in creative deckbuilds (hi, Oaktown Grid in Industrial Genomics). But what about the rest? What strikes you as the forgotten card that has the most potential in the current Universe of Tomorrow/Data & Destiny meta?
