With its crispy bacon-wrapped hot dogs and classic burger toppings, this Bacon Burger-Style Hot Dog has the best of both worlds. This is a tasty take on a summer favorite.
Ingredients: 4 beef hot dogs. 4 hot dog buns. 8 slices of bacon. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup shredded lettuce. 1/2 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup diced onions. 1/4 cup pickle slices. Ketchup and mustard, for topping. Salt and pepper, to taste.
Instructions: Put two slices of bacon around each hot dog and use toothpicks to hold them together. Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Put the hot dogs wrapped in bacon on the grill. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning them over every so often, until the bacon is crispy and the hot dogs are hot all the way through. Cover the grill for two minutes more and add a slice of cheddar cheese to each hot dog. Let the cheese melt. Toast the hot dog buns on the grill while the hot dogs are cooking. Put together your bacon burger-style hot dogs once everything is ready. In each bun, put a hot dog with melted cheese on it. Put chunks of tomato, onion, lettuce, and pickle slices on top. Add pepper and salt to taste. Add as much ketchup and mustard as you like. Serve right away and enjoy!
