In the last couple of months, I have been trying out a new camera, and I am excited to share a bit more information about it because the project is going into the next phase. The Birdsy Cam is a WiFi camera that you can set up to watch your backyard birds and critters. With the help of AI, the camera records and identifies wildlife that comes in front of it. The videos are saved in your Birdsy account that you can access from your phone or computer. From there, you can share them directly or you can download them to edit. I’ve had a ton of fun with it and it made me a bit more obsessed with my backyard birds. For one, I love that I can use the app to see what is happening in my yard no matter where I am. I’ve watched the birds bathing in realtime while I was in Germany :D The other neat aspect is that the camera fills gaps that my other feeder cam cannot always fill. Like recording the ever elusive baby Cardi <3
If you want to know more, check out their website birdsy.com. You can apply to participate in the Early Birdsy program, become a tester like myself, get a free camera and see what happens in your yard when you are not looking.
