While as nurses, we always recommend back and side sleeping (especially on our enVy™ pillow) some of you do tell us you prefer falling asleep on your stomach - and if that sounds like you, read on...👇🏻 If you sleep on your stomach.. You could be hurting yourself! While sleeping on your front is said to help in combating snoring according to some sleep disorder experts, it can also cause significant back pain, neck pain and MORE. Sleeping on your stomach flattens your spine, which puts a lot of pressure on your poor back muscles. It's also a very twisted and awkward position for your poor neck and often leads to neck or upper back pain. In fact, back experts believe lying on your front is one of the worst possible sleeping positions when it comes to looking after your spine. Sleeping on your front is the worst possible position you can sleep in from a musculoskeletal point of view. This is because in order to breathe comfortably, you have to lie with your head and neck almost fully rotated 180 degrees to one side for many hours. BUT also as an aging point of view as you push your sensitive facial tissue into your pillow or mattress 🥴. We never recommend our back and side sleeping enVy pillow for those who are committed to belly sleeping... however for those motivated to change this bad habit we highly recommend our pillow as a training tool. . . #backsleeper #sidesleeper #stomachsleeper #medicaldevice #envypillow #neckpain #backpain #envypillow #sleeplines #sleepwrinkles #tmjdisorder #chiropracticpillow #sleepgoals #sleephealth https://www.instagram.com/p/B0cMtC9nJC2/?igshid=1tltpuej6vwau
