'I make elevating music, you make elevator music'
Concept sketches for a class assignment
Hey guys, remember when I said “I got so salty, I’m redoing and pixelating all of Prodigy’s new creatures” because I got so salty Prodigy ditched the pixel sprites? Well, in my pass time, I’ve been pixelating them continuously… (only in my pass time tho)
I also wasn’t exaggerating when I also said I wanted to redo and pixelize ALL of the new unpixelated creatures….
(This obviously isn’t all of them, just what I have so far)
This is gonna be a tedious project… but I can tell it’s also gonna be a fun one! this is just a screenshot, but when I’m done with all of them, I’ll post the page (possibly multiple pages because idk how many one page will be taken up) as a transparent and stuff
I also think what is so funny to me, is that I don’t even play Prodigy anymore… haven’t since the end of junior high actually… But I’m so in love with the Creature Designs I couldn’t resist or stop myself LOLOL
OH, and btw, about the skeleton Terrosaur… you may notice it looks VERY different to the actual sprite.
I’ll be honest, it’s because the design of the actual skeleton Terrosaur looked REALLY weird imo… mostly due to the lack of features, well, actually more of how the features it does have are placed anyway. so I made it look more like the actual Terrosaur sprite by giving it more features and by using the actual Terrosaur as the base.
Buuut, even though I’ll also post it along with the finished pages far into the future, here’s the more accurate to the design version of it, even though the lack of details bother me LOL
First one is the fixed one, second is the in-game sprite
Another background experiment for my projeecttttt. This took me a hundred times longer than it should have, but hey! Got it done and it looks pretty rad, imo.

Part of my little... project that I’m undertaking. One aspect of which I am working on is taking scenes from Tangled the movie and attempting to reproduce the backgrounds in the Tangled the Series illustrative style--plus one alternate palette. Thought I’d start off with an easy scene and an easy sunset alternative palette to kind of figure out a rhythm and how I wanna do this.
Who could make some PNG’s for me? :$ Because I’m currently failing to make them my own..
A small collection of some of my favourite background designs for this project, I chose the bottom three for the tones and the use of high lighting to add depth to the pieces and they create this more mysterious feel to the viewer, while I liked the first for the use of bright desert like colours and how it hints towards the “Below the surface” brief but I won’t be going forward with it as the hint isnt strong enough to support it.
I like the use of the very monotone colours as they draw your eye naturally to the extreme light and the extreme dark, this with the curved tunnel and stair ways, makes these pair the best for viewer engagement as they make you curious, while the third does not.
Between the two remaining designs, I would probably go with the second as there is more range of experimentation that can be done such as the brick work and lighting in comparison to the stair way.
