2021 kicked off with a ton of anime shows. Due to COVID-19, several titles were postponed from 2020 to 2021 as the pandemic made work-from-home a norm throughout the world. As a result of the release halt, 2021 is jammed packed with tons of original movies and sequels to previous TV shows. From Attack On Titan season 4 to Quintessential Quintuples, here are five amazing anime series you can watch in 2021.

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars is a known anime series among anime nerds who love science and technology. In the upcoming series, Senku Ishigami will revisit his original birthplace.With new experiments and a new goal, Senku will commence a new war against Tsukasa Shishio. Dr. Stone: Stone Wars will be more intense than the first season as the forces will advance from gorilla warfare into an actual battle between the two groups of people.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2

The lesser-known isekai show That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will be returning to the screens with a second season. In the first season, Rimuru Tempest’s character development was the most promising about the anime as he quickly raided colonies and moved up in the ranks. At the end of season 1, Rimuru gained a whole territory to him, and now it is up to him how he uses his newly found position in the new world of the Jura Tempest Federation.

Back Arrow is one of the highly anticipated anime of 2021. Directed by Gorō Taniguchi, who is known for his works in the 2006’s mecha series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Back Arrow revolves around a similar setting as Attack On Titan, but it will be limited to less gore and more typical shonen like Naruto, Bleach and the likes of One Piece. The fact that the same director who directed Code Geass is returning to the industry makes Back Arrow a must-watch series of 2021.

The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2

Entering into the high school romance genre, The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2 will uplift the mood as Futaro Uesugi will return to tutor the five quintuplets. In the new season, there is a possibility that one of the five-sisters will end up with him. Even though all the sisters love Futaro, he can only choose one of them to be his lover. A similar manga series that ended with a perfect conclusion is We Never Learn by Taishi Tsutsui. It is up to season two to give us the perfect ending that will cater to every fan and their favorite waifu from The Quintessential Quintuplets fandom.

Attack on Titan season 4

There are only a few shows that can match the caliber of Attack on Titan. An epic story, realistic characters, and a world guided with hate and revenge, Attack on Titan is the epitome of storytelling. Hajime Isayama did a fantastic job with the writing part. The story building makes Attack on Titan so popular that its stories and character development surpassed any TV series or animation series ever made. The fourth and final season of Attack on Titan is currently airing, and you watch it on major anime streaming platforms like Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Funimation.
