When Joy Gets Serious P2
C2) You Work Too Hard ++++++++++++++++++++++ Author's Note : First up is Bunny. Oh man, I honestly feel that this thought has been used many times but this is just my take on it. Like the title states, Bunny works himself to the bone. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Bunny collapsed against a tree, huffing for breath tiredly while his precious horde of googies ran by, jumping in the air in worry.
The Easter Bunny was once again working. Easter was right around the corner, no surprise, but he had been pushing it.
No sleep for five weeks, no proper food save a drink of water here and there. Heck, he had even gone without coffee and was running hagard.
Finally his eyes fluttered and he fell to the ground.

When he awoke, he was so tired that all he did was curl deeper into the warmth surrounding him. He shifted in confusion though when a soft hum filled the room a minute, as if someone were worriedly working hard.
His ears popped out of the blanket first, followed quickly by his nose then his eyes peered out. Their bright ever green widened when they caught sight of the person in the room.
It was Jack, his knees crossed as he busily painted egg after egg, each decorated accordingly and slightly different from each other. He was humming softly, a song that Bunny vaguely remembered from somewhere. His hands were swift and sharp, but still kind to the delicate egg shells. Those blue eyes were watching the eggs and when one got near the bed he gave a sharp slap to his knee and the egg ran for the other side of the room.
Then the blue caught Bunny's green and a smile came to Jack's lips. "Looks like you woke up."
Nodding, Bunny scooted up in bed and yawned, stretching. He flinched however when there was a harsh rap on his head. "Ow!"
"You selfish idiot!"
Bunny's eyes widened at the thunderous look on the boy's face. Shivers ran up his spine and he was sure if he had been human, he would have been so pale it wasn't funny. "E-eh?"
Jack cocked his hips, right hand on his raised right hip and left hand waving his finger threateningly at Bunny. And it probably would have been funny if it had not been for the look. Jack's eyes were dark, so dark they were nearly navy but a white spark was in the corners of his eyes and his lips were shifted tight with his teeth somewhat bared. He looked almost primal. "Working yourself to the bone like that will not make for happy children! If you have done this before then shame! Shame on you, young bunny! I will not tolerate this behavior and if you ever plan to do this again, so help me I will tie you up and throw you in the pink dye river until it permanently dyes your fur!"
So taken aback was he, Bunny shouted, "Ya ain't mah pa!" in a childish way and Jack's look only darkened, making Bunny shiver and cower further down until suddenly it was Jack who was taller and with power and Bunny who was small and insignificant.
"Don't you dare pull that tone!" Jack gritted out, wagging his finger in Bunny's face. "I may not be your pa, but so help me I will swat that arse of yours enough to show how much of me cares. I worry you dummy, and I will not have one of those I cherish acting like this."
Sighing, Jack backed up but Bunny stayed cowed slightly, his ears slowly rising as he looked to Jack.
A soft smile came to Jack's lips. "I want you to rest a bit more. It's only two weeks till Easter and I know you need the believers. Leave the last things to me and I will help you rest up. Proper meals, some coffee and sleep are the most important things. Leave it to me."
Bunny nodded and sat up a bit, still keeping his head no higher than Jack's, which should have made him feel worse, but the way Jack was acting, he knew he should not dare to mess with this boy. He had never seen Jack so authoratating, and even if it was cute, he knew not to challenge him. Jack was more powerful than anyone with magic to match.
"Now then. Into bed and I will fix you some tea with honey."
Besides, being taken care of wouldn't be too bad, right?

Author's Note : I imagine that Jack has a lot more to give than the Guardians expect and I love this thought and headcanon so much. Next is North and I think that that one is a good play on why Jack worries so much about ice.
