Mochi's 1st overnite hotel stay!
i never thought an overnite stay in a hotel would be a milestone...but when you have a kid, the things you used to take for granted in the pre-kid(s) days become milestones.
we took Mochi to Hotel Griffon in San Francisco for a staycation over the weekend. at first, we were nervous as it was his first overnite stay but he did great! he napped during dinner and after dinner while we took a stroll to see the new Bay Bridge with the light show. of course, as soon as we got back to the hotel, he woke up and stayed up for a while before finally succumbing to exhaustion, then he proceeded to sleep thru the nite. Hallelujah!!!
the next day we took him for breakfast in the famous Ferry Building across the street from the hotel, then off to lunch w/ friends at Mission Chinese Food, and lastly to grandma & grandpa's for dinner.
needless to say, he didn't nap well throughout the weekend but still managed to squeeze in a good hour of play time at grandma's. that should be his motto - Play First, Sleep Later! ;)
all in all, it was an eventful but awesome weekend. and now that i know Mochi can hang on short trips, the world of traveling just opened up to us again! WOOOHOOO!!!
