For me being fat is a flex.
I battled anorexia and bulimia and am still battling ARFID. Iām PROUD Iām fat. Iām fat in spite of the world.
Being stubbornly fat is a flex and I will die on that hill.

So when are we going to talk about how the infantilization of nonbinary people makes it very difficult for nonbinary adults to be taken seriously?
Wow, have I really never done an about me? That checks out actuallyā¦
Hi all! Iām Babs! (They/she/any). Iām currently 30 goin on 31. Iām a queer immigrant living in central Massachusetts. I live with my wife and our two kitties full time and my wifeās girlfriend lives with us part time until we can all get a bigger place. Iām nearly done with my Masterās in Special Education and will soon be able to call myself a full-fledged Special Education Teacher (even though I think we should be calling it Individualized Education instead but thatās a rant for another day!)
Iām AuDHD and have chronic mental and physical health issues. This means Iām very intermittent on here. If weāre mutuals I love you and if youāre following me in any capacity I apologize in advance!
Iāve been a practicing pagan/witch in some capacity since about the 7th grade and Iām very much an ecclectic/chaos type of witch. Very ātake what works and leave the restā (as long as itās mine to take in the first place!). I was born in St. Johnās Newfoundland and my cultural heritage is very important to my practice.
Iām a psychic, but we all are really. Itās just about practice and time and tuning in! I consider myself a Wheel Worker, for lack of a better term. My practice and beliefs are based on the cycles of life. Life, Death, Rebirth. The seasons of the Earth and the seasons of life. The Wheel of Fortune (a future tattoo for sure). Iām a practicer of:
Tarot, Oracle cards, Pendulums, and Divination generally
Folk magic
Astrology
Herbal spell work
Energy work (In a āI have no better term for thisā kind of way rather than a new-agey way)
Candle and fire magic
Elemental magic generally
Natural magic
Spirit work (and Ghost hunting as a hobby! Feel free to ask about it!)
Iām a Libra sun, Virgo Moon, Taurus rising. My chart is Venus ruled and my Venus is in Scorpio. I love looking at peoplesā charts and answering questions so hit me up!
I also love doing tarot/divination for others. Iām practicing to become a professional someday so hit me up for that too!
I never claim to be perfect and I never claim to be an authority on things (at least things I donāt have a university degree in). Feel free to call me in if I say something dumb! Feel free to ask me questions if I say something that sparks one!
This will probably get replaced by a better one eventually but for now, thatās me!
I think, with my practice, itās more of a mishmash of things and I like to study new branches of witchcraft and go all in and then eventually integrate it into a whole practice based in chaos magic and folk magic.
So apologies if itās hard to nail down what kind of magic my blog is about - itās kind of about all of them as I meet them along my path!
Right now, itās gonna be a lot of glamour magic! I hope that you enjoy!
I was waiting a little time, but I have to show them off!
Meet our new babies, Hammond (Left) and Duncan (right)!
They will never replace Bunny or her memory, but it is so much easier to deal with her loss with life back in the home ā¤ļø
And their big sister Bunny, watching over them š¤

So when are we gonna talk about how all the metaphors we use to explain mental illness symptoms, even in the professional sphere (like IN the DSM) make it pretty much impossible for people with Autism to receive proper diagnoses?
I collected some of my favorite internet screenshot advice/positivity for yāall please clap
Today my Autistic ass is realizing that nearly 100% of my distress and emotional problems and issues come from difficulty with transitions.
Iāve always, ever since I was a little kid, struggled to fall asleep. Whatās that? Oh a transition from wakefulness and doing things to sleepiness and just lying there perhaps???
I also struggle to get up out of bed (transition) and then get ready (transitions galore) to go out (major transition AND sensory overload).
I have trouble with things like ābed timesā and āwake up timesā because it is a forced transition. I have trouble working on a schedule because of this.
I have trouble at work because I work at a high school and we have a minimum of 6 blocks during the day. Thats minimum 12 transitions cuz theres one at the beginning and end of each block.
I mean itās even the little things! When I finish a book Iām unable to read another one for like, a week or so afterward because Iād be transitioning the world in my head.
Literally everything you do is preceded by and followed by a transition. And transitions cause me significant emotional distress.
When I was a kid (Iām turning 30 this month and only got diagnosed about a year and a half ago) my parents struggled taking me anywhere. I would freak out and sob when we left the house and then, once we got to the next thing, I was fine. Then, when it was time to leave again? Freaking out, crying. It had nothing to do with the place and everything to do with the sudden and uncontrollable change.
Like, is this true for anyone else? Am I discovering something that people who have been diagnosed since childhood already knew? Give me some feedback people!!!
