they look so cozy and at peace with the world im🥺 i just KNOW that they held hands when silver was little (not because the baby needed help to sleep, but that stupid fae has been touch-starved for nearly seven centuries and cried himself to sleep every night that silver's tiny fingers reached for his and that warm little frame cuddled up into his arms like he was some kind of blasphemous symbol of warmth and safety when all he's known how to be is a herald of cold calculation and death)

“     ---------     y’know,  you  don’t  have  to  sit  here  and  watch  me  play  medik. ”  he  said,  eyes  focusing  on  cleaning  his  wound.  a  hint  of  a  hiss  escaped  his  lips,  trying  to  avoid  making  any  noise.  he’d  had  worse.  he  could  imagine  injuries  much  worse  than  this.  he  had  a  few  cuts  and  scrapes  on  his  face,  a  couple  near  his  eyes,  and  he  was  sure  that  he’d  wake  up  tomorrow  with  some  bruises.  good.  he  was  sure  plenty  would  want  to  hear  the  tale  when  they’d  see  him,  and  he’d  take  pleasure  in  keeping  his  lips  sealed.  as  he  grimaced,  his  mind  was  brought  to  his  injuries.  his  lip  had  a  small  cut,  and  he  could  taste  the  hint  of  metal  on  his  tongue  from  the  blood.  the  face  injuries  he  could  deal  with,  but  he  knew  that  the  cut  on  his  side  was  going  to  be  a  pain  as  it  healed.  his  shirt  was  slightly  unbuttoned,  him  holding  a  cloth  to  his  side  to  stop  the  bleeding.  and  as  he  let  out  a  deep  breath,  he  finally  allowed  himself  to  look  over  at  the  wraith.
