BABALOOIE, taking stock of another chili supper being prepared by the legendary Quick Draw McGraw, more or less his mentor: I wonder why chili tastes so good when you're out in the range, just taking in the wide open skies.... [Meanwhile--] QUICK DRAW McGRAW, taking stock of the brand of chili beans being used, as in Mrs. Manning's: So Mrs. Manning is on the can for once--!

BABALOOIE, pretty much "out of the blue:" Is it just me, Queekstraw, or is it that the meat used at a lot of chili places in these parts is probably-- QUICK DRAW McGRAW, interrupting: I can assume what you're saying there, Babalooie, and I believe you mean "bully beef"--as in nothing but the worst of canned beef, much of it fat and gristle! BABALOOIE: However did you know as much, Queekstraw? QUICK DRAW McGRAW: Believe you me, Babalooie, that one chili place we ate at a few days back served chili that was so awful, I actually had nothing less than an awful case of DIARRHEA, and DOOOOOOONNNNNN'T YOU FORGET IT!! BABALOOIE: I probably had as much effect with that particular chili, Queekstraw; in fact, the beef was rather chewy to go through! QUICK DRAW McGRAW: Point well taken! And next time, make sure that the beef used at those chili parlours is nothing but choice HAMBURGER, preferably with the fat drained off! BABALOOIE, rejoindering: I certainly like that Queekstraw fellow; he certainly knows his chili when he sees it!
