Bel steps out of the car, clicking his tongue in disapproval as soon as he lands his eyes on the building where he was supposed to spend the night. This wasn’t the five-star hotel he had requested. No, this was barely a three-star one, probably. Now, the place may have been a perfect fit for someone like Gokudera, but for a prince like himself having to stay at this sad excuse of a hotel was insulting at the very least.

‘’The prince doesn’t approve of this,’’ he states matter of factly, scrunching up his nose as the words leave his mouth. Gokudera only rolls his eyes as he makes his way towards the front desk to check them in.

‘’Yeah? Sucks to be you.’’

@cloudhayato Had to help me explain this since I couldn’t quite word what we thought their dynamic would be like. I think it can be very cute and it’s funny imagining how they’d work around each other’s quirks when they’re both pretty flawed

Bel would be really intrigued by Gokudera after the storm batte. It was genuinely thrilling for him to meet his match and the thought of competition makes him giddy. Plus Bel just thinks Gokudera is cute and of course he would have fun provoking someone as hotheaded as him just to get a reaction. Eventually Bel just always makes a beeline to him whenever the guardians encounter Varia and their time together makes them genuinely fond of each other’s company. Bel likes teasing and constantly competing with Gokudera whereas Gokudera kinda learns to deal with his brattiness despite being very abrasive at first.

Gokudera had upset Tenth somehow. It was the only logical explanation as to why his usually sweet and kindhearted boss would make him sit through a three-hour plane flight with Bel. He could’ve assigned anyone else for the mission and he chose Gokudera, so it was personal.

The first hour had been painless since Bel kept to himself and found the movie that was playing in their private jet more interesting than Gokudera’s company. As soon as the prince got bored, however, he seemed to make it his personal goal to make Gokudera’s life a living hell. 

Gokudera slams his book shut when Bel’s voice interrupts his train of thought for the hundredth time, throwing him off his reading zone. ‘’If you don’t shut up right now, I will choke you.’’ 

‘’Is that a threat or a promise?’’ Bel purrs with a sly smile playing on his lips and his hand on Gokudera’s thigh, which he slaps away. His rejection only makes the prince grin wider, his trademark laugh slipping out between his lips. 

Gokudera sighs and leans his forehead against his palm - if the plane crashed right now, he wouldn’t even be mad about it - he would welcome it. 

‘’Don’t sulk, we’re having fun.’’ Bel throws a chocolate candy to his mouth and leans back in his seat. Their knees bump against each other and Gokudera wonders why they have to be seated next to each other despite being the only ones in the plane, give for the people working.

‘’No, you’re having fun,’’ Gokudera corrects, ‘’I’m in misery.’’

‘’You’re just saying that,’’ Bel grabs the book from his hands and tosses it to the side, ‘’Stop reading and pay attention to the prince. Let’s play a game or something. I’m bored.’’

‘’I was reading that, you fucker!’’ 

‘’Not anymore you’re not.’’
