More of my Self-aware LADS thoughts
(Which I've recently realized is the SALADS au and I love that acronym)
I really love the idea that second we leave the house system MC drops like a puppet with it's strings cut. Cuz, how else am I supposed to interpret how she just stays in one place for hours until I return to water my peonies?
Unless this is a Dawnbreaker situation and we as the player possess MC for however long we play and whenever we log on she's teleported back to where we left her, probably the more likely options, not why I decided to post this :/.
If it is the former, could you imagine how terrifying that must be for the LI's? They're invited over to MC's house for the first time, and it's perfect. He gives her his gift, chat's with her, gets to snuggle on the couch and admire the view. Sure, she seems a bit robotic, but that could easily be stress from being a new home owner! Until her eyes gloss over and he sees her drop to the floor with a hard thud.
He's stunned, freaking out, running over to see what happened. She's not wounded, thankful, but no matter how much he shakes her or calls out to her she won't respond. It's only after a few hours does he see her body raise up as the light instantly returns to her eyes and she runs off to some other part of the house.
Then he immediately get's kicked out and replaced by another LI's, repeating the cycle. Eventually they get used to it, moving Mc to a more comfortable place before continuing on with their day. lol

With the new Love and Deepspace Sims life update, I'm excited to see what the Self-aware and Isekai writers are going to cook up.
I can already think of a few things but unfortunately, I am not nearly articulate enough to make a cohesive story, however, this doesn't stop me from voicing my ideas in text format.
Would the Self-aware Lads consider the new house to be Mc's or the players? Given the fact that we're the ones who decorate the house, this could give them all a great way to interact with the player! The only problem is they'd have to work around Mc being there if she isn't Self-aware or some hollow being like in some fics.
Self-aware possibly gives more customized interactions. As it stands all of the lads have the same animations, aside from a select few, for everything. If they're self-aware maybe they'd start breaking away from those animations and show their true colors more. (This isn't me hating on the House update btw. I love it so much)
Receiving elaborate and expensive furniture that isn't normally in the game. This of course is a given for most stories of this nature but I still think it's cool. Sylus sending a huge vanity for the closet or Rafayel gifting an even larger bathtub for your bathroom. Or some of his paintings to liven up your home. Xavier sending flowers (some on behalf of Jeremiah) for the house. Little things like that.
I haven't unlocked the kitchen yet but I can only imagine how much time Caleb might spend in there. We can't taste the food but it's the thought that counts, right?
Now imagine all the lads pop into the house at once? It's not supposed to happen, it had never happened before this at least that you're aware of but if you think more about it starts to add up. Sometimes doors wouldn't open even when you manually clicked to open them, you'd see something moving in the background when you were cuddling on the couch with a love interest, and you swore that you could hear voices coming from the living room but Zayne was lying next to you in the bedroom...
What would they all be doing in the house? I have no clue. My imagination ain't that good. Lol. Perhaps they're conspiring to bring you home!
Speaking of bringing you home...
Onto the isekai! That was a great segway if I do say so myself but I digress.
That house definitely would be considered the players. Mc would be kicked out or replaced (again depending on the rules of the fic.) And you would take the place as the house's rightful owner.
If this is a fic where the reader is plopped down on a random street then maybe the house's location is already engraved in their sense of direction. Kinda like a migratory bird. It's an intuition thing. There they could find one of the lads hanging out which kickstarts a chain of events. My bet is on Xavier. He sleeps a lot and sleeping in a place that smells like the person he loves feels better than not. A realization moment for Mc when she looks around and notices that the furniture isn't something she remembers buying or placing herself. It's not really her style either which further emphasizes whatever point the reader/player was trying to make about their origins.
There are a few variations you could do for that specifically with Self-aware Mc too tbh.
Anyway, I've rambled on for long enough. Happy New Year's everyone and I hope you all have an amazing 2026!
So im a firm believer that Valko will be added to the game, so, to feed my own possible delusions, i'm gonna add him to my SaLads au nonsense.
Whenever you log off your scent goes away and it stresses Valko out the first few times. He's frantically sniffing Mc and for a bit thinks he's nose is broken. The others have to explain and reassure him that it's just us logging off for the day.
In my SaLads au, Sylus, and Caleb are the only two that have access to the camera outside of the AR photo time. I will now be adding Valko to this list. He's a nerd, it makes sense. He, unlike the others, isn't super keen on spying on you 24/7 but he will check in to make sure you're okay if you haven't logged in for the day.
When he's invited into the home the others have to warn him about Mc suddenly dropping. I said this in a previous post that when the player logs off Mc drops like a ragdoll. The others are used to it by now so they'll have to warn and comfort Valko when it happens.
His first glimpse of you leaves him speechless and he gets upset that he can't be there with you to give you the love you deserve. He'll be lovey with Mc, sure, but it's not like before. Now all he can think about is being able to hug and snuggle with you, the real you. With his ultimate science nerd knowledge he might be able to make that happen...
I didn't type out much, mainly bc it's late and im tired but i wanted to contribute to the Valko love. I really love him.
Has anyone attempted to ask the Greek gods for help? we already have some people consulting the tarot cards but have we tried asking Hermes or Aphrodite or other Greek Gods for help in bringing our Valko home? I'm not personally well versed in worshipping these gods so I don't know if this is a thing you're allowed to do but I think it's worth a shot, right?

There are sometimes when I wonder what life would be like if the Lads men were real.
I'm currently visiting a family member right now and while I love this Relative, I'm very isolated and it's starting to effect me. My only real escape is imagining what it would be like if I brought one or more of the Lads men with me.
Valko would be a godsend and I think my relative would love him tbh.
He's extroverted, loving, slightly goofy but he's still smart. It's perfect. He's perfect. Being able to cuddle on the couch and watch movies would be the highlight of the day and maybe Valko would help me feel included more. Also we're in the middle of BFE so running around the yard would be fun. My relatives are planning to install a pool while I'm here. Valko and I would be so sunburned lol
Caleb is much the same. He's smart, strong, not so much extroverted but he can hold a conversation and it would be easy to let him do the talking while I sneak away >:3 We could drive around (I'm scared to drive and don't have a license... or a car here) to grab groceries or just to look around. We live so far from everything but Caleb would find a way to make the road-trip fun.
Sylus would probably buy a house nearby if he doesn't have one already lol. We could stay there and just visit my relative whenever they're home. He's intimidating to most so I don't know how well he would do with my family but once they hear him speak spanish (I wholeheartedly believe he does) then they'd love him and urge me to marry him. Such as life, I totally would marry him. He'd shut down any stray comments that my family makes which is always appreciated. I don't know how he'd do with all lack of stuff to do but i can imagine he'd have stuff express shipped to the house. We could ride horses along the property line if we got bored.
Zayne I don't know if you noticed but I'm going in order of ranks here. Zayne is good for the family aspect of my trip but we would have nothing else to do :'[ I would be begging i'm to teach me about everything he knows just to have something to do. That lowkey sounds bad... I mean like have him be a professor and teach me how to do various stitches on fruit. Grey's anatomy would be on the table just to annoy him lol. The pit would be our relaxation show. I'm waiting for s3
Xavier Is starting to enter in the least compatible territory. We'd just sleep and watch movies/read all day and there's nothing that makes my relatives more upset than sleeping all day or doing nothing all day. We could probably do some gardening here though. That's the redeeming quality. We have a lot of land that could be dedicated to a nice garden but i won't be here long enough to keep it alive. I would say we could bake but i am NOT letting him anywhere near the kitchen or the grill. Take out would have to be our main source of food which means we would starve...
Rafayel Is the worst out of all of them but is my main lol. He can be cold and rude, is lazy most of the time and is super messy. This is everything that my family dislikes. Im not saying this to downplay all of his good traits. He's loving and assertive which is what I would need but I also know that he's pick fights with my family and just hate them. Not to mention the lack of accommodations for him here. There's no fresh seafood, no ocean, I know he can survive without it but would he really want to? I don't want to. (Even though I'm highkey afraid of the ocean.)
If I brought all of them it would be chaos. Fun Chaos but chaos nonetheless.
I would bring them all lol. We'd have to stay at sylus's house and just visit my relatives.
Rereading Last Legacy, that seems to be the only thing i do these days, and now im wondering who the harbinger of doom was supposed to be.
It says a harbinger from afar which would describe MC seeing as theyre from Earth and their inter-dimensional travel is what allowed for LoS to come back. Although Felix is technically the one who starts all of this by trying to bring Rime back but that's a timeline for another post.
Regardless, I assumed MC was the mysterious harbinger but that wouldn't make sense. That would mean Gramme/Mike/LoS planned for MC's arrival but we know he didn't. He said so in Sage's Route.
Sn: Did Gramme plan any of this? We know he got banished to Earth but how did he make Last Legacy 2 if he didn't have access to Astraea for the last 5 years? Unless, he did have access and just waited to inact his plans?
Gramme/Mike has to have green lit that pamphlet in order for it to get into the hands of the players so if MC wasnt supposed to be in the game then was it supposed to be Rime? He hides his face for most of Sage and Felix's route and is even described as a mysterious figure in both. We know he works for LoS to get the Astrolabe back and in Felix's route he specifically states that he wasn't the only thing that climbed out of the void.
(That implies that Gramme died but we know he didn't??)
MC is an outlier in Anisa's Route too. Or at least thats how I took Saaros' lines
It implies that nothing in Saaros' book said anything about MC being there. From what I remember the Elves get there divination from the universe. The universe sees everything in Astraea but not MC...
Maybe that's why the Astrolabe chose MC and not someone from Astraea. Having an outsider would allow them to defy fate seeing as Astraeas fate doesnt include them.
Overall, I think the Astrolabe decided to take matters into its own handle and throw LoS a curve ball by choosing MC as their wielder.
