Old saying > Don't be a Gama, in the land of Lama.⠀ Just as an FYI: Gama jee was a famous pehelwan. But in the rarified air of Ladakh you need to take each step carefully specially during the first 48 hours when your body acclimatise to the low oxygen atmosphere. We just went to Shanti Stupa in evening on our first day in Leh. That is where I met this kind Lama jee and clicked him with the Shanti Stupa.⠀ This is the first image of the day from #Leh the biggest city in #Ladakh. No Leh and Ladakh are not the same. Leh is the city, Ladakh is the region in the stage of Jammu and Kashmir. Some of the other prominent places in Ladakh region are Diskit, Hunder, Siachin Glacier, Turtuk... this last one is very interesting as it became part of India only in 1971 before that it was a part of Pakistan.
