1) Did you ever make an awkward, embarrassing OC? If so, tell us about them! → I have had a cat hanyō (think Inuyasha) that lasted all of 1-2 Neoboards roleplays, Pokemon trainer OCs, and at one point decided to design a fox girl that had a gigantic axe for some reason. She never became a proper OC, and I am grateful for that.

2) Waffles or pancakes?  Most importantly, why? → Waffles. What reason is there to eat pancakes when you can eat something structurally near-identical that has convenient dips throughout to hold butter and syrup? I'll answer my own question: there is only one, and that is a lack of waffle iron.

3) Have you ever had a recurring dream?  If so, tell us about it?  If not, what’s the weirdest dream you’ve ever had? → I don't really have recurring dreams. Most of my weirdest dreams involved post-apocalyptic settings (usually in my neighborhood) or being able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. My weirdest dreams involve superpowers, I guess.

4) If your life was a TV show, what kind of show would it be?  What would the theme song be? → Slice of life comedy/drama, given that I could probably fill the required role of klutzy-yet-sweet protagonist that endears herself to the audience. Theme song would probably be something soft and sweet, like most of the music in NieR, if NieR's music wasn't almost entirely so depressing.

5) What is your favorite quote of all time? "Listen up, Phones! The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go."

If not that, Alphonse's opening narration in Full Metal Alchemist (though I only have the perspective of the 2003 anime).

6) You’re about to die, and for your last meal, you can have anything you want.  What do you order? → Steak (medium rare), mashed potatoes, green beans, fruit salad, Dr Pepper, and chocolate pie for dessert.

7) Give us a miniature review of the last movie you watched.  On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the worst thing you’ve ever seen and 10 being ‘the movie of the gods’), how would you rank this movie? → Last movie I saw was Frozen. The film was considerably better than its confusing trailers would imply; Olaf wasn't an annoying presence like he was made out to be in the trailers, the relationship between Anna and Elsa was genuine and sweet, and all of the characters felt generally well-realized. Elsa, especially, rang home more than I thought she would. I'd give it an 8, though I'd still agree with some that having some POC in the cast would have been nice, even if just in supporting characters.

8) You’re permitted to wield any weapon from any franchise (game, movie, series, etc) or from reality itself.  What do you pick? → Assuming that this comes with the ability to wield said weapon properly, I'd probably either want Kyoko Sakura's lance or the ability to essentially fill the role of a Tactician in FE13, with both swordsmanship and anima magic (fire, thunder, wind, etc)

9) Are you a cat person or a dog person?  Or are you both? → I love them both for different reasons!

10) You go into your room and one of your favorite fictional characters is in your closet.  Who is it?  How do you spend the rest of your day? → I spend the day snuggling Shinji Ikari and making sure he's eaten properly and giving him comforting pets. And probably video games. I bet he'd like some of the new Pokemon games.

11) When was the last time you were pleasantly surprised? → When Thanksgiving break didn't go nearly as badly as I thought it would. And when David got me Borderlands 2 for Christmas. Thank you, David. <3

Oh lord, uh, probably. My character Mathijs. He's less embarrassing now since he evolved into a proper character, but at the start he was some sort of Harry Potter clone. But with red streaks in his hair. I think I was playing Sonic Adventure 2 when I made him.

I enjoy both! But waffles, since they have little pockets for the syrup, yummy.

When I was around 14, I had dreams almost every night about being raped. It was pretty horrible, and lasted for MONTHS. Thankfully I don't have those dreams anymore.

Maybe some sort of slice-of-life thing? Or a documentary about the futility of post-college jobs jfc. haha, no idea on the theme song. Something upbeat and catchy, I hope.

I know I have quotes I really like, but for the life of me I can't think of any, gosh. :<

o_o um um um um um, crap. It'd depend on the day. sometimes I just want a really well prepared chicken leg. Other days some excellent ramen or sushi.

I think the last movie I wanted was The Little Mermaid, ha. It was good though! It was fun to watch a movie I hadn't seen since I was little. I guess I'll rate it as a 7.

Both? I tend to lean more towards dogs, but I currently have a cat, and I also love them dearly. They're really different kinds of animals, and I enjoy the company of both for different reasons.

10) You go into your room and one of your favorite fictional characters is in your closet.  Who is it?  How do you spend the rest of your day?

Rumpelstiltskin from Once Upon a Time. I'm hoping for zany adventures and maybe he can teach me some magic. :P Or maybe we'll just sit around and have some tea, which would also be nice.

Last night. I came home and Josie cleaned the house while I was in Wyoming. It was a great thing to come home too.

10. You wake up one morning and realized you're in the world of your favorite tv show/book/game/etc. Where are you, and what happens?

How I feel about this character:→ Shinji

No but seriously Shinji is a wonderful, fabulous character. He’s certainly flawed and he’s got issues and he’s really fucked up more than once but he’s such a great character. People that reduce him simply to “gosh he’s such a wimp why doesn’t he just have sex with one of those lovely ladies already" kind of forgets the part where Shinji is kind of psychologically shattered. The kid’s essentially covered a gaping bullet wound with Band-Aids and the ones that haven’t been ripped off from piloting EVA 01 were ripped off by Gendo personally. He is full of fear and uncertainty and a lack of confidence in himself, but he is definitely a worthwhile character. He is everything a 14-year-old from his background would be and do in his situation, and he still manages to act like the hero when it matters. He’s honestly a lot stronger than most people give him credit for.

He also manages to be quite the sassy jerk to Asuka more than once, and I appreciate that, because as much as I love Asuka, she’s a fuckin’ bitch.

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

→ …As much as I know some of the fans are really weird, I do like Kaworu/Shinji. He’s probably one of the only characters in the series to extend honest kindness to him and the mutual interest the two share is actually fairly evident in even just a few minutes. If I ignore Kaworu, though - I mean, he was only in one episode - Shinji/Asuka would’ve had promise if Asuka would calm the hell down and Shinji could figure out how to stand up for himself sooner.

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

→ Shinji/Misato. The two make such a wonderful little duo - friend/friend, mother/son, whatever you want to call it - and they play off of each other so well. He helps to stabilize her and she helps him to actually speak out when he’s unhappy in a way that isn’t completely unhealthy. They work well together. (And hey, he helps to make sure she isn’t living entirely in filth.)

My unpopular opinion about this character:

→ I don’t think he’s a gigantic whiny crybaby that does literally nothing but run away from his problems, I guess? Some people boil him down to stereotypes too much.

One thing I wish would have happened with this character in canon:

→ I wish he’d actually punched Gendo in the face

I wish he would’ve actually gotten some sort of resolution with Asuka that involved actually discussing their problems.

But this is NGE, where therapists and such therapeutic actions don’t exist.
