She had dropped by Ratchet unexpectedly one day to pay the man a visit and it just so happened that he had been practicing his newest act. A length of chain with two metal orbs on the end spun fluidly around his body - until he saw her approach. Losing focus for a moment, one of those metal spheres ricocheted off the other, sending it flying right into his crotch. The reaction was immediate as he doubled over and fell the ground groaning. “ I’m fine, I can walk, just give me a minute ”
Aeviara did not come empty handed to Dicenne Amberlight’s place in Ratchet. A basket that was full to the brim was slung over one arm and as she approached, Aevi stopped and watched him. That shadow of a smile that danced upon her lips was genuine, the young woman enthralled with getting to actually see him practice his act ahead of time.
Though she made no sound, it was apparent that she’d distracted him if only for a split second. As the accident happened, her mouth gaped open and Aeviara dropped the basket as she rushed forth to him.
Awkward. It got awkward. The urge to offer assistance in the way of healing warred against propriety. “Ice? In the house or should I go to the pub?” She didn’t really wait for an answer but reappeared a few moments later with a makeshift ice pack. She looked completely apologetic and the words to follow spilled out of her mouth without hesitation. “I’m so sorry, Dicenne. I didn’t mean to startle you, I was just bringing lunch.” Luckily, the basket had not actually tipped over but lay where she’d dropped it.
Aeviara reached out to help him to a more comfortable position and offered up the ice pack. Of course, she’d imbued it with a touch of light and so when applied, it might work at healing any true injury to anything other than his pride.
Sheepishly now, those large green eyes swept up to his. “Forgive me? I brought roasted beef sandwiches and a few different types of side dishes that cook prepared for me upon request.”
