Wanda sat staring blankly at the wall. She knew she had a life before Von Strucker but she could barely recall it. Images flashed in her mind of the life she had once had. People floated in and out of her memory but she couldn't put names to their faces. 

Wanda stood leaning against the wall. People were rushing by her trying to get to classes on time. She was waiting for Professor Xavier to finish teaching the class so she could talk to him about joining the X Men on missions. As the students rushed by, some stopped to look at her. They were weary of her. She could feel it. 

It wasn't just the students who were weary. Some of the faculty were as well. Sure, they had accepted her. But that didn't mean that they trusted her entirely. And she knew why. Her father, Magneto. Enemy of the X Men and leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants, an organisation that, not that long ago, Wanda had been a part of. 

No one was paying much attention to the still young, handsome blond man sitting in the far corner of the coffee shop, quietly reading a journal.  Casually dressed but still elegant, a pair of trendy glasses resting on his nose, he was just enjoying the relative anonymity his tranquil attitude provided him for the moment.  

Hank Pym put down his cup of coffee and checked his phone as he heard the timid 'bip' it made, signaling an incoming text.  He sighed and smiled tenderly while reading it.  It was Jan, telling him she'd be running late.  A last minute problem at the office.  He took the phone in both hands and replied to her.  'Don't worry.  I'll wait for you here for a while more.'

The main lecture hall of the Empire State University was almost full, which was a bit surprising considering the summer semester was in session.  But the university had organized a series of conferences with speakers from various fields, coming from all over North America, and even a few from England and Ireland, and had opened their doors not only to the already admitted students, but to those wishing to be or those admitted but who had yet to start their first term next Fall.  

Hank had been asked to come and give a few lectures, since he had been affiliated with the Grayburn campus of the university for several years now, and had accepted gladly.  

He had just finished his current lecture, which was a slightly modified version of the lecture he had given at the University of Oxford a few years back.  He had made sure to unclutter it of the more technical terms so that first years students, or future students, wouldn't be lost in the 'techno-babble'.
