Have you ever seen the video essays by jacob geller on youtube? He has one about haunted houses that sounds like something that might be right up your alley (though a lot of them are pretty good) I hope you've been well :}

If you're interested in an online dnd thing have you ever heard of a site called roll20? some pals and I use it to play dnd online, it's free, requires no download and is actually real easy to set up and schedule games as well as make maps + tokens + comes w/ everything you could need (dice rolls, rulers,templates that sort of thing) I don't know how well it would work with a lot of people but we've played with up to seven at a time (including the DM) with no difficulty.
