i have such a mixed reaction to this because on the one hand i am proud and it is objectively a very good book and i’m so pleased that i inspire gay literacy and just. yes. good.

but also i’m balls deep in a research paper on dorian gray and it’s garbage and it’s kind of making me hate the book sadly.

not anything like anyone i know who has adhd. I literally don't even have difficulty with attention, thats LITERALLY the entire concept of adhd. i do have hyperactive behaviors, but as far as i know they're stimming. but the neurologist was talking to me and saying that all the things i mentioned that were clearly autism symptoms were actually adhd symptoms or something. like meltdowns i have are actually common in people with adhd, and so are hyper fixations. (2/?

so i went on adhd meds and i got better with attention and motivation and stuff, and it kind of felt like a lot of my autism symptoms went away. so what I'm really freaking out about is that autism, this label ive held on to for years, is incorrect and i actually just have adhd. and in my mind i KNOW thats not true, because i really CANT communicate, i cant read expressions, i have strict rituals. I'm so attached to being autistic that i cant deal with changing my mindset. sorry im scared (3/3)

2 - Will you participate in any fandom exchanges or fic challenges, etc?

Well, there’ll likely be a 2018 Evanstan Round Robin (not sure I want to run it this year, I’ve done it twice in a row, but we’ll see - either way I’m definitely willing to join in and write!) and I want to do at least one of the charity/political things like @fandomtrumpshate since I wholly and completely ran out of time to do anything last year. Other than that, nothing specific in mind. I used to do Secret Mutant, but I haven’t for the last couple years. We’ll see what comes up.

6- Which yet-to-be-started fic is first on your list? 

(Answering out of order because #5 comes with a snippet of fic, so this is easier!)

Yet-to-be-started as in literally no words written at all? The sequel to the Evanstan white witch Seb and hexed puppy/actual famous director Chris story, in which there is a cursed artifact and basically sex pollen. (But before that maybe before that I don’t know depends on my brain I’m going to make myself write that barely-begun last damn Cherik fic if it kills me.)

5 - Which WIP is first on your list to complete this year? Will you post a snippet?

The final (? last currently planned but have been told by @viperbranium that this is cruel and there should be at least one more after, so ??) Extra Sugar bonus scene! Which I am in fact currently working on! Here, have a bit of Sebastian in the hospital. This follows on from this bit I shared yesterday. And Chris is on an airplane, in case that’s not clear from this snippet. He’ll be there soon.
