My #maywrapup, a few days late because I couldn’t find one of the books. I felt like I wasn’t getting any reading done at all, but as usual it doesn’t look so dire when it is all stacked up. As you can see, I ended up mostly going the MG/YA route after all. Though really, this stack is almost entirely bedtime story reads. We finished reading both WINTERSMITH and ABHORSEN in the first days of the month, and since I wasn’t organized enough to have the next books in the series ready in time, the kids had to branch out and pick other books. HOWL’S MOVING CASTLE and MS. ICE SANDWICH were both read-alouds as well. . PARADISE OF THE BLIND was my only #readtheworld21 read this month, sadly. . A WARM AND SNOUTING THING and HOMESICK were both recent small press impulse purchases. . FRIED GREEN TOMATOES AT THE WHISTLE STOP CAFE had been laying around the house a while when the Book Riot podcast said they were going to take it on for Book Nerd Movie Club, so I picked it up for that. . THE BATTLE OF THE LABYRINTH was kind of my only impulse read of the month. My oldest kid has been telling me to read the Percy Jackson books forever. I will finish the series someday! . . Everything I did read last month I really liked.
