Its not that I don’t think there are legitimate issues concerning men and boys in society. There are and I totally support the discussion of gender roles placed on men. But there is NO way I can respect the discussion if you are simultaneously trying to discredit feminism. Giving women the right to vote and work doesn’t automatically give them full and equal rights as men. Look at history, look how long women have been oppressed. Look how long it took for women to gain any of the same rights as men. Women had to fight hard for every single right we have today.
Anyway. If your position on men’s rights depends on invalidating women’s rights, maybe you should grapple with your own misogynistic ideals before talking about issues concerning men.
This made me want to vomit. I hyperventilated while reading it. The misogyny he has is palpable.
So I just read a few articles about this group "A Voice For Men" it's a group going after men's rights. They like to say feminism has caused women to claim fake rapes and that it isn't fair men have been at a stand still while women have been receiving more opportunities as the years go on. First I find it hilarious that men should complain when they have had the opportunity while women in 2014 still need to prove themselves to be good enough for a "mans" job. Secondly, if you are going to say women can't claim rape because they are dressing slutty and their mothers taught them to act like whores then I would have to say the next time a man claims rape I'm going to have to say it was probably because they were walking around with their shirt off or their pants were hanging too low and the girl probably got a hard on being able to see his V-line.
