#1: when i was looking around inkopolis square, i found a lot of characters that i didn’t see if you had checked out (for example: the shoal, some stickers, signs on buildings, etc). i have/can get some decent-quality screenshots if you’re interested

Yeah, there’s tons of stuff I haven’t analyzed in the blog. I do have hundreds of pictures taken that I need to organize tho. What I can tell you for sure is that there are several scripts, maybe a dozen or more. We’ll focus on each one at a time.

#2: same with a lot of the stuff from the octo expansion & its UI; i have/can get some pics there too if you’d want

i didn’t have time to fully flesh out this idea, but rereading your posts on the Square script made me wonder if it could be mapped onto japanese. there would still be a couple things to work out, and this may be just a dead end, but i think it might be worth some time

Okay so, horses are total Void material due to their muscular bodies (tied to physical strength, which is pretty pointless in SBURB), their apparent lack of importance to the overall plot of the story, despite appearing many times throughout the webcomic, and for their apparent connection to the void-entrenched Zahhaks.

Cats are Heart material mostly because of association to the Leijons, with Nepeta more heavily tying it in to her roleplaying persona that she always used when talking to people. You could also insinuate the way cats have “nine lives” could be representative of multiple selves and splintering stuff, but that’s still a bit of an stretch in-comic.

Regardless, You still got this apparent link with horses to Void and cats to Heart, but we also get a swap of this when we look to the alpha kids. For Dirk, there is just about as much of an association with horses as the Leijons for cats, only really popping up as more of a personal symbol of one of his eccentric passions than anything that could universally be used as a symbol. Roxy also has cats more as personal symbol, but these kitties all seem to act as a good representation of her abundant Void pre-game both in how their black fur color represents the lack of color (in a similar way that Roxy’s pink cat is representative of how pink is a non-existent color made up by our brains) and how they were really created needlessly by Roxy.
