Turning onto what appeared to be a rather old gravel like road, Helena stared up at the moonlit sky and pondered as to how long she had traveled that day. She couldn't remember the last time she had slept and as much as she didn't like it; it was starting to get to her. The stars above her trembled softly almost as if they were moving from the corner of her peripheral vision and she was begging to lose her sense of balance. The only thing that kept her from drifting off like a standing horse was the sound of bustling insects hiding among the tree's adorning the unkempt street.
Turning her gaze back down to the road in front of her, Helena looked around herself as she walked hoping to find a patch of solid clear ground in order to set up camp but to no avail. It wasn't until something in the distance caught her eye did she finally stop. It was a flickering light buried beneath the surrounding foliage and as she came closer did she realize it was coming from the remains of what looked like an old pickup truck. "..."
Sliding her backpack off and placing it on the ground, the female unzipped the container and rummaged through it for a moment before pulling out a small flashlight. Turning it on and making her way around the automobile, she wanted to make sure that it was actually abandoned and not just in park. There were no fresh tire tracks on the ground and from the amount of leaves covering the tailgate and hood it was obvious that nobody had tended to it for quite a while. Peering into the window, there was nothing that caught her attention other then the flashing symbol on the dashboard. On any other day the concept that the engine was still working would have been strange to the girl but at this point she was too tired to even care.
Eventually she felt it was safe enough to try and open the passenger side door and after throwing her backpack onto the bench of the truck; she proceeded to clench the handle and open the rusted door frame. It made a loud creaking sound which jolted her slightly but she quickly shook it off and continued inside looking forward to a good night's rest.
