Inspired by a funny typo spotted in something I reblogged earlier, here’s an hilarious incident involving an ESPN reporter, Twitter and autocorrect.

The great part is that “haboob”, the word he meant to type, is just as funny for people who don’t know the term (I certainly had never heard it before this story; sounds like a version of what we call a chinook up here in Canada).

Meanwhile, I think HuffPo might be a victim of a photo equivalent of autocorrect here as I don’t think that’s a baboon they used for the story image!

By the way, I wouldn’t put it past a baboon to knock out a power grid. After all, any sentient creature capable of appreciating magic tricks is smarter than the average bear ... or ape:
