The final episode of Prehistoric Planet was SO GOOD. I've been really enjoying doing these doodles!
I've also had a ton of folks asking about stickers, so I've gone ahead and put them up on my online store!

Austroposeidon is a recently described genus of titanosaur, because paleontologists are incapable of not torturing me. It was found in the Presidente Prudente Formation, a part of the Bauru Group, in Brazil. The time in which it lived is fairly uncertain - it could have been anywhere between 83.6 and 66 million years ago, from the Campanian to Maastrichtian ages of the Late Cretaceous. It is known from multiple vertebrae, and part of a rib. From this, the describers managed to estimate that it was about 25 meters long, one of the largest dinosaurs known from Brazil. The bones also showed rings indicating the growth of the animal, and the vertebrae had unique adaptations not seen in other titanosaurs (though what those adaptations could have been used for has not been looked into).
