Guests Provide Feedback During a Day of Fun at Austin's Park
At Austin’s Park n’ Pizza Experience, we’re always trying to find ways to improve and make our guests’ time at Austin’s Park as fun and enjoyable as possible. We know that perfection is a tough mountain to climb, but that doesn’t stop us from trying.
We’ve spent the last two years upgrading and renovating our beautiful park. Thanks to guest feedback, we’ve learned that those who visit Austin’s Park want the entire Austin’s Park n’ Pizza Experience … including the food experience. This led us recently to update and improved our food offerings, and last week, we invited families to a fun-filled day of taste testing our new food items and to participate in a “Top Chef”-style cooking competition.
The day began by bringing all 50 guests in attendance to our Austinite’s Dining room, where we brought all different styles of pizza that had different combinations of toppings, crust styles, and sauces. Guests marked their thoughts on a feedback card, and the opinions of the day will be used to guide where the Austin’s Park pizza goes from here.
One of our guests, RJ, was there on his actual birthday! One would be hard pressed to find a better way to spend a birthday than taste-testing pizza, participating in an awesome cooking competition, and playing games and riding go-karts afterward. Happy Birthday, RJ!
Next, we brought out our new tacos and potatoes, when, once again, guests were able to voice their opinions on the feedback cards.
After the food sampling, there was a cooking competition with our Kitchen Managers: Â Chef Sean, Chef Chris and Chef Marcus. Each chef was given two sous chefs (kids from the audience), and each chef team was given the same ingredients:Â assorted vegetables, hot dogs, meatballs, tuscan chicken, chicken nuggets. Each team had to create a Regular AND a Gluten Free pizza in 20 minutes.
The winning team was Chef Marcus, who made a smiley face out of pepperoni, and they received $500 to the charity of Chef Marcus’ choice, and a free birthday party for each sous chef kid! Â
The two runner-up teams each got $250 to the chef's charity of choice, and a $50 gift card to each of the runner-up kids!
After that, everyone was given wristbands to enjoy the afternoon in the park.
We had such a fun time, and the feedback was so helpful, that we’d like to make this something we do periodically. So, be sure to keep an eye out for your chance to participate in the future.
