huffing out as he watched mitch and beatrice debut, he honestly couldn’t believe his eyes. was he tripping or was this some fucked up joke? last he checked, mitch was with ela, and now he was getting engaged to someone else....who last time he checked was dating his date’s older brother? everything was so mixed up and backwards, and he wanted nothing to do with it, but ela’s absence was obvious which made him a little uneasy. orion knew her well enough to know she was impulsive and emotional, and his text conversation didn’t make him feel any better as he sighed and shoved his phone back into his pocket and went to find clara again. walking up behind her, his hand rested on her waist from behind before looking down at her, “do you have any idea what’s going on around here?”

coming to this event wasn’t something she had planned for her evening, when val asked her if she wanted to come with, tatiana honestly thought he was joking. it wasn’t until she got a knock on her door at 8 PM that she found out he was being serious, scrambling to contact cleo to send her a picture of something to wear so she could mimic it with a spell. the blonde didn’t dress up like this often, she felt sort of out of place, but the emerald green velvet dress fit her perfectly, a long slit up her right leg as her heels feet walked on the precious marble floors of the roux castle. she’d managed to sweep her hair out of her face in a half updo, and apply some make up to her features but nothing too dramatic. she’d always been a less is more makeup type of girl unless there was a certain mood that hit her or if someone did it for her, given the fact this was late minute, she didn’t have the time. 

“so...can anyone explain the point of these things to me now?” he asked allowed as he tossed another napkin ball into on of the cups he had set up to play a lonely game of alcohol less and boring ‘beerpong’. at some point he’s lost aurèlie and being forced to entertain himself he stooped to taking a table, grabbing finger food, and playing his game on his lonesome. “i’ve been to a few of these fucking balls now and each one is a bust. i mean are they meant to be boring? is that the goal? because i cant even enjoy watching people getting drunk and making fucking idiots of themselves.” obviously ranger was used to ragers, hard nights on the isle full of parties that went on all night and only ended in chaos. ever since he had come to auradon he’d been so disappointed by each thing that was planned by one of the royal subjects. “you can’t honestly find this fun.”
