Freedom Begins Within
The sun rose over Golden Army Stadium as Brock Gold #46 prepared for another day of training.
Near the entrance stood a large sculpture made of heavy iron chains.
Many visitors admired it as a reminder of the struggles everyone carries.
Brock stopped for a moment.
He rested his hand against one of the cold metal links.
A younger Golden Bro walked beside him.
"Do you think anyone can really break chains like these?"
Brock smiled.
"The strongest chains aren't made of steel."
"They're the ones we build ourselves."
Fear.
Doubt.
Bitterness.
The belief that we can never change.
He stepped away from the sculpture and walked toward the open pitch, where his teammates were already waiting.
"Those chains don't fall apart all at once," Brock said.
"They break one choice at a time."
One act of courage.
One act of kindness.
One step forward.
The younger Bro looked back at the sculpture.
Then he turned and followed Brock onto the field.
Some chains are meant to stay behind.
Because true liberation begins the moment we decide to stop carrying them.
