♡ : accidentally falling asleep together
NONSEXUAL ACTS OF INTIMACY ♡: ACCIDENTALLY FALLING ASLEEP TOGETHER // NOT ACCEPTING
There’s a moment between drifting and sleep that he thinks, with a breath in his lungs, that the world is at a stand still because all he could hear is her. A room full of people with hummed thoughts and even quieter breaths, he hears her. So loud and so clear as she breathes in through her nostrils, turning a page she’s not even reading and resting his head on his arm. She could fall and he thinks she knows it; both of them at the mercy of gravity as he stayed still. Her weight on his arm and eyes drooping.
When does the world stop turning? When does it let you breathe? When do you get to catch a moment to yourself?
He’s exhausted, drained and nearly despondent but his arm shifts somewhere between drifting and sleeping and he doesn’t think. A room full of dozing people and she’s asleep on him, with even breaths and gravity forgotten. And Isaac doesn’t mind. Maybe because he’s too deep in sleep or maybe just the way she echoed in his ears or how she rested snugly on his chest. Maybe it was just a little less lonely sleeping like this.
