I think you might have been just finishing/finished your phd when I left teen wolf as my primary. I got into hockey fandom about 2 years ago now but didn't actually start watching hockey until about 3 months later bc I was busy in the interim & then when I went back to the primers, I watched a vid was like WOAH! & then checked to see if a game was on that night. And then the NWHL happened & I got tickets to Devils games bc they're way cheaper than the Rangers & Islanders & takes about equal travel time for me.
That’s so cool... I literally live 500 miles from the nearest NHL team. But yeah. I just love this game so much it’s so exciting to watch!

Well I never like, officially stopped writing teen wolf - I still poke away at a couple of the stories, I still have a couple I hope to post at some point, and I finished up a huge one this year. But obv the show went way off from where I liked and I stopped watching years ago and then I got a bit burned out by some of the people in the fandom so I just... floated away from TW and went to other fandoms where I felt less harassed and could enjoy things again. I don’t think I ever disappeared but it’s true I’m not participating as actively in fandom anymore because of that. Plus I’m in a 9-5 job now and moved to a new place and bought a house, so things have been a bit busy this year.
As for hockey, I got into the Check Please fandom sometime mid last year, and then got into real hockey at the beginning of this year because of it. Are you a hockey fan?? When did you get into hockey?
