That being said....

So I made a whole ass AU about "what if Werewolf and Dark Choco had met during Dark Choco's quest for the sword, became close enough to start pining for each other, only for Werewolf to sense the sword was dangerous and grab it before Dark Choco could, because better him than Dark Choco, since he's already a monster right?"

Dark Choco is still so optimistic even after this it hurts....

I even ended up doing a drawing for said AU of Werewolf grabbing the sword!

john would have learned about this being a thing from a friend? most likely one of his roses dusty old books that she liked and spent time weaving stories about it @ him, about how ghosts are real and are lost and need to be driven out, and impressionable john bought all of them

he sought out t find them, and almost got killed the first time he actually met a ghost - it was so angry and was Very other-presence repulsed, throwing stuff at him - and john had no way to physically fight them... so eh just!! talked it out, in his rambly sort of inconsequential way that ends up relieving others, and at some point the ghost calmed down, and gave it a try, to move towards the place they thought would bring them the most peace

john and rose kind of become the first members of their “agency”... doing vigilante stuff, she seeks them out, he talks to them - sometimes they switch it up

as they grow older and this continues, i can totally see their dirk helping out??? building all the iconic machines from ghost busters, equal in appearance but wholly different in function - all tools to comfort, to soothe, to bring out resolution and catharsis - BUT STILL WITH BEaMS aND CaRS aND SHIT
