Keith is a little older than Shiro in this one. (forgive me)

Under the pseudonym Akira, he’s terrifyingly popular, but Akira is a mysterious recluse. 

Sometimes Keith goes to Akira’s art exhibitions to make fun of the art and make criticisms. “I disagree, the reds look flat and dull, it’s like he dropped it in a mud puddle” Whilst laughing inside at the ppl who speak like they’d suck Akira off whilst looking at Keith like he’s trash. 

He’s not v happy with his works tbh. 

And he often gets thrown out of those exhibitions laughing. people wearing clothing looking like it’s designed by Tomoko Nakamichi take one look at his leathers and skinny jeans and sneer.

So he teaches some local art classes as Keith. He’s not happy with his own work but he’s very pleased when he can help other people find their inner voices. 

Queue Shiro. 

*Insert overused air force accident arm loss trauma*

He thinks he’s being told to go to art classes is just to help him learn how to use his left hand. 

K:“What the fuck is this?” S:”A daisy?” K:”Yeah but why is it on your canvass?”

Keith gets pissed when Shiro tries to play nice when he’s obviously hurting inside. The first time Shiro snaps and paints what he’s feeling Keith kisses him. He takes his gently crying face and presses tender kisses on his lips. 

Keith struggles to express himself, but he’s proud of Shiro for being able to. 

Over time things slip, Shiro finds relief in painting his hurts and doubts, Keith finds a muse in drawing Shiro. 

The first time Shiro sees the drawings he says “It looks like I’ve been broken” K:”You have been broken, and now you’re rebuilding yourself into someone stronger.” 

It helps. 

Keith ends up drawing more and more of Shiro, and with permission Shiro starts modelling. It’s very uncomfortable. 

Those pieces Keith is actually proud of. 

With art therapy Shiro starts becoming more okay with what happened, and with Keith painting him he becomes more comfortable with the changes that his body underwent. 

Akira’s paintings “loose something” but Keith doesn’t mind, he’s happy, happy with himself and happy with his art. He’s not lonely anymore. 

They still have enough to retire on from those art sales though.
