I've got a Wild Kratts AU up for Adoption:
I call this: The Fugitive/Vigilante AU

The Wild Kratts have never been entirely popular.
In the series we see them tussle with villains such as Paisley, Gourmand, Donita, and Zach.
But in this AU, there are a lot more opponents to the existence of the Wild Kratts team, all with their own grievances against them.
Most are baseless, from those who believe the Wild Kratts' tech should be used for other purposes (read: conquering and exploiting others), to rich jerks who resent the Wild Kratts for stopping them from exploiting animals (ex. Villains like Zach and Donita, to Donita's fashion show guests in Flight of the Draco)
But many concerns are quite legitimate.
There are many scientists who feel the tech of the Wild Kratts Crew is wasted solely on conservation efforts, or that the Wild Kratts are endangering animals in the long run by being so involved, often directly interfering in the natural lives of animals (ex. protecting their 'animal friends' from getting eaten)
Many also think the Wild Kratts are setting a dangerous example for children, getting so close to wild animals.
It doesn't help that in many cases, Wild Kratts Kids have joined the team on some of their adventures, in ways that could have put them in danger (ex. Praying Mantis, Aqua Frog, Snowy Owl Invasion, etc.)
Despite past attempts to get the Wild Kratts shut down, the team have managed to prove themselves a force of good, in which their pros outweigh any cons.
The tipping point comes when Hercules the Hercules Beetle becomes enlarged by the Miniaturizer and goes on a destructive rampage in a nearby city.
Despite having saved the day, many people are furious that the brothers' negligence caused this incident in the first place.
The Wild Kratts team find themselves sued.
Using their nemeses’ controversy, the Villains successfully push and get the Wild Kratts team outlawed.
There will be no more flying around the world in the Tortuga, no more activating Creature Power Suits, no more Creature Adventures.
It’s bad enough that they’ve lost their ability to learn about and help animals -their purpose-, but the Wild Kratts Villains are using this opportunity to get pull off more and more awful crimes against creatures around the world, knowing the only group who had the ability to stop have now been outlawed.
There are many directions this could go in from here that I haven't decided on.
Maybe the whole crew decides they can't sit idle by, turning over their tech and letting the villains run free.
Maybe they flee in the Tortuga, continuing to Creature Adventure, but constantly on the lookout for the authorities, and the villains, who have now taken to hunting them too.
Or maybe one or two of the team become vigilantes, and there could be some angst in having these close friends trying to convince the other(s) to join them, whether it be in the security of their forced retirement, or the punished good of their heroism.
