His alien owner neglected him. Acorn took this coldness as love, though he kept vying for his owner's attention and love. He was thrown into ANAKT Garden because he got sick of him, not for any talent reasons. He never expected Acorn to actually get in.

Acorn fell in love with Sua because her cold attitude reminded him of "home". He continually pestered her with confessions.

Acorn was mostly cold and sarcastic to his fellow humans. He had a sort of friendly relationship with Marty, however.
