Your Resolutions Will Stick When You Overcome Your Brain's Insidious Trick!
Is "THOUGHT WARPAGE" the obstacle that prevents you from doing your best? Â Made 'Resolutions' for the New Year? Â Determined to Do, Be, and Have what has escaped you in the past? Â You CAN do what you've set out to do, become who you've decided to be, and have the right material rewards that are available to any human being who possesses the appropriate cognitive skills and personal habits necessary to the task. Because you've set the Resolution in the face of past performance, you'll need to overcome your brain's natural tendency to maintain status quo (the danger of cognitive homeostasis). Â One of the most insidious tricks your brain plays is that of "CHANGING YOUR MIND" in regards to your intent, while it weaves the illusion that changing your mind is a logical choice that you made on purpose.
If you can control  your Attention, you can detect the thoughts and feelings broadcast by your brain that seek to get you to accept less than your best - that work to turn you away from your Resolution.  When you can detect, you can AFFECT Actions or REDIRECT Thoughts, Feelings, and Impulsesthat otherwise go unnoticed.  This power to detect and redirect makes taking effective Action much easier, even automatic.  When your hands are on the wheel (controlling Attention in the present moment), neither events, people, or your own past conditioning have the power to deceive you into giving up or giving in.
