Headcanons for Downburst x Hypershock
Downburst is basically in charge of the relationship. He’s the one people go to to get Hypershock to calm down.
He also tries to help Hypershock with his headaches from his powers, but its trial and error on the correct medication.
Hypershock still drinks a lot of alcohol but with Downburst help he cuts back on it.
Hypershock does most of the cooking because Downburst is tired when he gets home from his work at the hospital.
Downburst is a caffeine fiend.
He also leaves pens in his pockets so they get all over his and Hypershock’s clothes when he’s washing them because he forgets to check pockets.
Downburst has to drive them everywhere because Hypershock isn’t allowed to drive due to his drinking and road rage. No one knows that Downburst isn’t the safest driver either. (If it takes an hour and 30 minutes to get somewhere, he can get there in 50 minutes if he tries.)
Downburst use to go to bars and drink a lot when he was in college, but stopped after he got into Med School.
Downburst’s mom loves Hypershock and always asks him to come visit or to talk to him on the phone.
Hypershock’s parents both died young, so he loves to talk to Downburst’s mom and call her Mom.

Staring at Downburst, he saw his lips moving but didn’t hear anything. Hypershock watched as Downburst’s face showed his confusion. He couldn’t help but stare, hopefully the guy thought he was drunk or just bored out of his mind. He wished he could see his face without the cowl on his head, maybe even just without the supersuit in general. He could imagine Downburst was a good looking average man, but everyone had to have something interesting about them.
“HYPERSHOCK!!!” Hypershock jumped and turned to look at Herb at the front of the room. “Can you please pay attention and stop staring at the door, cause I know you are trying to be the first one out.”
“I was listening…” He tried to explain.
