"Things are about to get real loud" is a reference to the lego game, where he actually has voicelines, yippie!! I love that you can pick up some of his personality in the lines!! I was originally going to use "hey, hello! It's the Phylange! Not your favorite, I know, but I wanna help!" but after a bit I thought it didn't fit for something that I wanted to look like a in-universe promo picture.

The date, Friday April 7th is a ref to the number score syndrome ranked him as, 4.7. April 7th falls on a Friday in 1961 and that's the year I think the Phylange got killed. Anyways!! He's cool and I love him to bits! I also gave him freckles, which in the 30's-50's when he would have been active were seen as a blemish. It's suppose to be a visual cue about the public not really liking him.

Here are some headcanons I have for him, most aren't based on anything, but I still like them.

He's more famous as a singer than a super. He works on yodeling because if he sang in his costume- that would give his civilian identity away

A tenor, I don't make the rules..

His favorite color is blue, however he doesn't use it in his super color scheme because Gamma Jack is already is blue and yellow

Speaking of Gamma Jack, most of the time they don't see eye to eye, however they do get along out of suit. Jack likes to bring his dates to Phylange's concerts and woo girls by bringing them backstage

He's forgetful about cleaning his uniform sometimes because his main priority's his opera suit and his voice- so sometimes he'd go into battle with dirt and crap on his suit from past fights.

He used to be the one driving the Thrilling Three Chopper and would sing while he drove while Apogee would be making the game plan for the fight, and Dynaguy would be giving directions. After Dynaguy dies and Gazerbeam replaces him, Phylange gets pushed off into a side car and they all drive in silence

The Chopper was given to them by Downburst, who also made the Elasticycle

My plans was post this on Halloween but I got sick, lol. I made a little comic about this, sorry if the writing is hard to read.
