Newfound royal knight of Volica, keeper of peace, Atisumis (he/him) is a large lined seahorse with strength bordering comical proportions. He is courageous, has a big heart, and is easily flustered/riled in the presence of his crushes, Xipilli and Hibi.
Before the coup he was known as Volica's worst blacksmith due to his penchant for breaking everything he made. Not even spears and shields can withstand his frighteningly metal warping grip! This directly resulted in him being recruited by Silvyr who, upon witnessing Atisumis accidentally crush a piece of armor in hand, thought he’d be better suited as a defender.

Still in training, Atisumis has a bit to learn, though he’s shown great promise in his ability to wield a zora longsword. The scales along his head-tail and body are naturally hardy, capable of acting like a set of armor, and his large spiked tail is not only flexible, but can be used to bludgeon enemies.
His strength and tail sound cool right? Well these traits would be…if not for the fact he is awfully clumsy! Which is exacerbated whenever he is in the presence of Xipilli and Hibi.
Honestly! He can’t help it! It’s not his fault there are so many inconveniently placed vases everywhere. He's just so excited to see Xipilli whenever he walks into a room that he turns too quickly and his tail smacks them right over! And those damn throne room doors, who designed them to be so flimsy!?! It’s not his fault Hibi is so pretty he forgets his strength and rips them straight off the hinges! (Someone get that fixed, stat!)
Atisumis quietly frets over these endless mistakes, worried not only by the prospect of losing his job, but also by how lame he must look to everyone. Thankfully Silvyr seems keen in his ability to grow, and hasn't fired him yet…however his path of destruction has led to a rather compounding debt on his part…

• Assignment •
Atisumis is currently posted at the entrance of Volica’s throne room, where he watches (and lets in) workers/guests. This assignment is frequently given to fledgling knights, where they may be tested by Thresh, with random “surprise” attacks.
Silvyr did not create this test. Thresh did, to build the “reflexes” of Volica’s knights (Read: for his own enjoyment).
Contrary to popular belief, this position is widely viewed as undesirable amongst knights because 90% of the time it's abysmally boring. Atisumis however loves it, since he gets to see Xipilli and Hibi daily. Though he’s somehow developed this misconception that he's supposed to stand very still and must remain silent at all times (he’s not very successful at it….).
• Other Fun Facts •
- Growls whenever he gets too excited.
- Is really, really, really bad at stealth.
- Will “play dumb” around Hibi to hear them speak more.
- Developed food aggression during the famine.
- Due to how easily he breaks things, he has a tendency to stay away from small creatures! (He’s scared he’ll squish them!)
- He also hesitates to touch others for the same reason above.
- After repeatedly (and unintentionally) breaking his swords, he was gifted a sword forged from Damascus steel, which was then given a permanent durability boost by Fen’an. It’s become the only weapon he can reliably wield, as anything else shatters far too quickly.
- Whenever he breaks something he’ll just quietly stare at it for a moment and then look extremely disappointed (in himself specifically, you can visually see him wilt like an unwatered flower).
