My English teacher isn't very happy, and neither are we. He had to write an essay on whether or not businesses should be able to ban all teenagers, seems simple enough, right? Oh, woe to it be! How wrong we were! We were only allowed to use the articles in the book, each was extremely biased- which I could live with- but they were probably written by angsty twelve year olds. I mean, "business people" was a general term used in all of them, and that annoyed me, but again, I could live with it. I could not, however, ignore the fact that the entire article opposing the ban only used a single personal experience at an eating establishment as their rebuttal against this ban. We were supposed to be allowed to research/find different evidence should these article prove insufficient, but the other English teachers already decided on doing it this way so now our class has to. I finsihed it, I have the front and back of two pages practically filled, it was pretty easy. The rest of my class is struggling (when I was trying to start my second paragraph in class, a few people kept coming to me for help so I wasn't able to finish that paragrah until right before class ended). The articles seriously annoy me though.
