Evangeline had spent most of the morning setting up things for King’s day with her mom because it was honestly one of their favorite times of year. A time where they showed just why Tiana was one of the best chefs around and who didn’t like showing off technically two different regions at one time. It always made her smile at the thought, passing around pralines and beignets as a signature dessert to anyone who came by. She had saved Ben’s gift for later despite the fact that he always said he didn’t want anything. She still liked to get him things to celebrate him.
The moment she had gotten a break, she had grabbed the bag of goodies for him before heading off to explore for herself, hesitating to head over to the booth that Charmington had set up before deciding to be the bigger person about things. Plus she had never been one to turn down cheesecake before and she wasn’t about to start now. A small grin appeared on her face as she took a bite, turning around to head off to the next area before she was bumping into someone. “Damn, sorry about tha...” She trailed off, eyes widening as she gasped.
