Ā Ā Sheās kidding, surely. Nana takes well to her handicap being overlooked, for the way she carried herself on top of her optimism made it minor. She could navigate through an entire city. Run a bakery almost single-handedly. But with cane in hand and black frames to scream āIām blind,ā it takes a while before she can rally any sort of response to the girl. Only that which raised too much of a concern for her to neglect. āA gun..? W-Where?! I couldnāt see a gun.. I couldnāt even see him.ā Cue in the shock and pity.
Despite the comfortable and luxurious life sheās lived, Jennie sure has seen things no one would have imagined her to yet the panic that comes right after witnessing something infrequent to a safe environment she was established in made for her poor judgement. Shocked by the unprecedented events, it takes a while to be able to register what was being said and as it slowly ticks, she takes a good glance at the other, albeit with a bit of hesitance over the head to toe scanning that she'd done which would have come off disrespectful. From that thought itself, she realizes the stranger wouldnāt know what she was doing becauseā surprise, surprise! This stranger is blind.
As if by reflex, she immediately bows. It hits her again how none of her actions would be seen and acknowledged by the other so a palm travels up and presses against her forehead over the subsequent realization.Ā āIām sorry, really. I didnāt notice at first.ā With those words said in a tone gentle and full of remorse, her eyes dart down all the obvious hints of her condition.Ā āBut, we should probably get out of here in case he comes back...ā She says as calmly as she could even if she was shaking down to her marrow since she didnāt want to inflict the same anxiety to the other female.Ā
She was aware people impaired with the ability to see had their ways but she couldnāt afford leaving it up to that in which case, she instinctively links an arm with the other; forget that they didnāt even know each otherās name, she was determined to get them out of harmās way. During the walk, she figures talking would help calm the nerves. Naturally, the first question she raises was,Ā āWhatās your name, by the way?ā
