their eyes had been on the sky every night for ten days now, since they had first spotted fire falling from above. word had brought them nothing on the rig; scouts luna ordered to stay close to home until the origin of the fire was discovered, the reason for it unearthed. ten nights they watched, until again fire was seen streaking the sky, and this time...much closer. she needed to know, her clan curious and uneasy, scouts preparing the boat to embark the rig to the shoreline where the crashing sound had come from. something very heavy hit the earth and had left sparks in the sky. this time....the first time in a long time, luna placed herself on the boat as well. the lands in which the crash occurred were not close enough to trikru to be claimed by them, close enough to floukru yes. her scouts harbored their crossbows but luna...nothing more than a satchel on her shoulder that rested on her hip with a few supplies. she remembered stories she had grown up with, legends of the first commander having descended from above; maybe someone was there, someone hurt, if nothing else should herself or her scouts be harmed while away from the rig, she wanted to be prepared.Ā
she couldnāt have been though, not really, not for what she saw when they touched the shoreline and pushed through a quarter mile of brush where the thinnest tendril of smoke coiled up towards the sky. dawn was breaking by then, torches lowered and put out, luna moved closer to the metal pod and peered carefully and quietly in to see the female within.Ā āhello...ā she calls out quietly to her, hoping the word was...nonthreatening enough to not alarm her if it was heard.
