Summary:

it's cyberverse (dead end and perceptor centric) fic!! the title is taken from the song "verscharrt und ungerühmt" (approx. "buried and unpraised" or "buried and disregarded" something along those lines) by kanonenfieber (a lot of the songs aren't super my style but i've listened to this one one william braziliom times, recommend it fr)

the line i sent there means something like "the fate that awaits me" and it's about dead end's pessimist and nihilist outlook overall. and the way he isolates himself because "if everything is going to end anyway, what's the point?"

the fic covers from season 3 of cyberverse onward but adds extra details and is overall a character read—mostly on dead end but also on hot rod, soundwave, perceptor ... literally just. everyone. as much as i can cram in there because fanfic is for funsies and what's the point if i'm not having fun

ANYWAY have a random unhinged note i wrote to myself on the outline:

I’m sorry I thought this said “death roasts” and I was like. Yeah, Soundwave WOULD do death roasts. In which he roasts people from the grave. And tbh his canon death toasts were literally kinda just death roasts anyway so.

the fic is basically just:

they find each other on a fanfic site and become online friends with each other without knowing each other's actual identities

eventually one of them starts to realize whom the other might be

elaboration: for instance, thundercracker, peacefully (this is post-war), visits first aid's medbay and hears someone telling him off about "stop writing wreckers fanfic on-shift" and other such details that align

random trivia/fun facts:

their usernames are buster22 and s_springer as of now (you can guess who's who quite easily)

the fanfic website is called "quoticon": a mixture of quote + lexicon, favored also because it sounds vaguely "decepticon" so it matches :p

first aid's chatbit (fictional discord) profile bio is "#1 wreckers: declassified fan, i write fanfic on company time"

TC writes "as the kitchen sinks" (fictional show from g1 cartoon) fanfic. he's also written my little pony fanfic and cybertronian historical rpf (and yes, he has written a one-shot with first aid as one of the characters. first aid is shocked to discover there's texaid on TC's account)

first aid writes nearly entirely wreckers rpf. like those super fixated kpop fans. because why not

alrightalright soooo "dearest orion pax" builds off of the scene from mtmte in which megatron in future/present(?) time talks to the orion pax of the past/functionist universe over the phone. the premise is overall … what if the lost light era megatron interacts with a previous orion pax, whether still in idw or not is kind of a mystery to me (i've written more notes than the actual thing)

so uh. orion could be law enforcement, but this could also borrow from the archivist background as well … it's kind of vague on that. undecided i suppose

megatron doesn't say anything about the time travel/alternate universe thing, which is why this was so interesting to me … and what inspired this the most was when in the comics orion says something along the lines of "will you join us?" and megatron responds with a "eventually" or something like that and it just. triggered a switch in my brain like. YES. THERE IS SOMETHING TO BE DONE HERE

so yeah this would be written in the form of an epistolary-ish, outlining letters/phone conversations, each chapter a header like the following:

because i've been reading a book in korean where the chapter titles are like such (the book is 세계를 건너 너에게 갈게 - 이꽃님, roughly translates to "i will cross the world to reach you") and starts with the method of address :) and i thought that concept could be cool

Summary:

He drags it slowly across the middle of his thigh, pressing with just a feather-light touch, then repeats this a second time (and a third, and a fourth). Tiny beads of blood bubble up, crystal-red and dark, and once more he just feels beautiful. Pretty the way a girl should. His breaths come shallow.

Summary:

The universe bursts outward, The Earth is born 4.54 billion years before the present moment, lightning and ocean and turbulent lifelessness (his brain is lightning and ocean and it aches behind his eyes). Protobionts form, miniscule shapes, the children of the world learning how to be alive, mimicry of the modern cell. Plants and animals and fungi and everything else, everything else, everything blooms. Humans crawl from somewhere within the chaos. He knows their names. He knows their faces.

hi!! i've already answered this in an earlier ask! glad it piqued your curiosity :D i've learned a very little little bit of german and am looking to study the language more in the future and i found music was a fun way to do that, so (as mentioned in other post) i was largely inspired by "verscharrt und ungerümht" by kanonenfieber! totally recommend it btw :D
