Treatment

Story A continuing story, the Hitman returns from Malta, confused as to what he saw in Malta, and looks for help, seeking his friend, Jason Brown, his previous pupil, he is able to stay with him until he can figure out what happened. Nearly four months later, MI5 start to take an interest in Jason, the Hitman already knows he must act and find out what really happened. Jason receives a letter from MI5, asking him on to find the Hitman, the assignment is known as “Assignment 002”. Jason meets with the Hitman and they journey to the MI5 building, after a heated talk, the Hitman finds out that it was really him who killed his wife, but he doesn’t remember it, it was his alter ego, Charlie Smith.  Jason switches on the emergency protocols in the building, gassing it, with the Hitman leaving the Woman a choice of whether to shoot herself or die from gas poisoning. Jason talks with the Hitman about what happened and as he turns to leave, he is shot and it is revealed that the Hitman shot him and is now Charlie Smith.

Characters

Graham Overton

Graham will play a character the Hitman, and will be filming in Rochford, Leigh-On-Sea and Southend-On-Sea.

  Oliver Paviour-Silcock Oliver will play Jason Brown, the ex-pupil of the Hitman, who will assist the Hitman in trying to find out the truth of what really happened to the Hitman’s wife.

  Lindsay Overton-Chadwick Lindsay will play the Woman, later referred to as Sophie, she will be the main villain in this film, she will be one of the people in charge of the MI5 branch the Hitman wants to access, and will be an old friend of the Hitman’s as we later find out in the film.

  Michael Chadwick Michael will continue to be the Younger Hitman in the memory scenes, these were previously seen in “Assignment 001”, no acting is needed from him on this particular project.

  Story For this project I intend to film a 20-minute short-film continuing from a previous film, “Assignment 001”, this film was about a retired hitman, haunted by the death of wife, who is forced to return to MI5 to complete one last job to find the killer of his beloved wife, leading him all the way to Malta. The sequel, “Assignment 002” is about this hitman returning to England, and with the help of his friend, Jason, will go to MI5 to find out the truth about how really killed his wife.

  Target Audience This Short-Film is aimed at 20 year old males and older, seeing as this is an action thriller, this could relate to the male audience more than females. The film focuses around loss of a loved one, so the audience, male or female could relate to this over the age of 20, as an adolescence audience may not have a full understanding of it from the husband's point of view.

    Locations

The short-film will be located in various locations, there are places such as the open fields of Leigh-On-Sea and Rochford, and the original house filmed in for the Hitman’s house, which is based in Rochford, the Woman’s bedroom, which is set in a house in Leigh-On-Sea and lastly, South Essex College (Southend Campus) will be doubling up at the base of MI5.

Name: (known as) “Hitman” Basic Description: fairly tall, straight back. Age: 60/70 years old. Height: 5ft 9. Hair: Grey, around his head with a few hairs on the top of his head. Eyes: brown bloodshot, look very worn tired. Distinguishing features: Hair, tired eyes. Key characters traits: haunted by the murder of his wife, the murderer still remains in his mind. Function of this character: To work with the audience to find out where the murderer is, as well as be as clueless as the audience. Goal of the character: To make peace with himself and catch the murderer, maybe even kill him. Plan to achieve goal: Travelling to Malta, staying in the same hotel as the murderer and searching everyday to find him, with the guidance of MI5. Education: Good education, he understands where the murderer might be in the area. Likes/dislikes: Likes = Reading newspapers. Dislikes= having to work for MI5 again, the murderer. Habits/vices: reading newspapers, being haunted by the memory of his wife.

Plan to achieve goal: By helping the Hitman catch the killer.

Hair: Brown Distinguishing features: Hair Key characters traits: To help the Hitman along the way to achieve what he really wants. Function of this character: To work with the Hitman to stop MI5. Goal of the character: To have helped the Hitman in any way possible and to have helped him greatly. Plan to achieve goal: Finding out about MI5 and pretending to be on their side.
