Your Move | assassin-zagi
All of the rumors about the Lord of Calamity (that only became more ridiculous the more the word spread) and yet nobody could place that it was her specifically. Velvet had walked past humans so many times just talking about her by title alone and yet they had no idea-- she had even exchanged words with those kinds of people. But nobody knew the truth about her, or the Shepherd they had branded as savior or what he was trying to do.
What they thought of her? It didnât matter, but she saw no need to make it obvious that she was the Calamity everyone was talking about. Youâd think the exorcists would clamp down better, but she always managed to slip through with her friends under the guise of a group of performers. Humans truly were a bunch of idiots, or at least the current ones trying to be the light in the world.
Interestingly enough, she had managed to gain the attention of someone. Velvet could tell she was being watched. Had they discovered who she was? If they really were thinking about attacking her, they would be in for a unlucky surprise. So she purposely and rather confidently went to a quieter and more deserted part of town, awaiting their move. âAre you going to stop hiding?â
