The most precious thing ever in volume 7 would be Weiss performing a concert and Ruby, Blake and Yang (maybe everyone else) going and she ends up crying at the end of her performance because this is the first time people who she knows and love come to her concert
Thatâs why Iâm anticipating the heroes reuniting with Flynt and Neon for theAtlas Arc. My headcanon is that Team FNKI is actually an Atlesian band outside of being huntsmen attending huntsmen academy. I like the conceptof FNKI doubling as a band because it gave me this idea of Neon and/or Flyntasking Weiss to perform with them as part of a concert theyâre hosting oncampus.
As you rightfully said, Weiss has only sungto push her fatherâs agendas. We have yet to see Weiss sing for herself thusperforming a concert that isnât under the Schnee Family affiliation would be awonderful opportunity for Weiss to do that. Just picture Weiss getting reallyexcited about rehearsing for a concert thatâs all about her having fun. It isnâtabout her impressing Atlesian nobility on behalf of the SDC but something shedid for herself and her friends---the people who love her for her.
I can even picture Weiss getting a bit of stage fight from this. Sheâs never sung for anyone else before so I figured shemight get a bit nervous/or feel overwhelmed by this. Thus in come her friends togive her the push she needs. I know Weiss Schnee doesnât need a pep talk intosinging but it could be sweet for RWBY to have a sort of sister moment wherethey all talk to Weiss before her performance and give her their best wishesbefore joining the audience to enjoy Weissâ song.
And youâre right, perhaps Weiss will getemotional from this because itâll probably remind her of the reason why shesung in the first place. I still wish to stick to my early headcanon of Weiss singing for people she loved. My theory is that Weiss startedsinging for her baby brother Whitley because it wasthe one thing that cheered him up. Iâm even starting to like the idea of Weisssinging for her mother. Maybe singing is something Weiss shares in common withMamma Schnee.
Perhaps singing was something the two did together or at least something Weissdid only for the people she loved whenever they were sad because itâs somethingshe could do that helped made them feel better. In the beginning Weiss onlysung to make her loved ones happy until Jacques found a way to exploit thattalent for his own benefits.
After that, singing became less about Weissmaking the people she loved happy with her songs and more about doing what herfather desires. Never thought I needed an origin story for Weissâ singing but Ikind of do. I want a flashback from Weissâ childhood, particularly onefeaturing her and Whitley.
I still wish to hold out for the notion of Weiss formerly being close to Whitley when they were much younger. After all, Whit was Weissâ baby brotherand Iâd like to believe the two were much closer when they were toddlers beforeJacquesâ authoritarian ways drove an uncomfortable wedge between them.
It saddens me to see that as the middle bornchild, Weissâ relationship with Winter is built up so nicely yet her ties toWhitley are so strained. What sucks even more is that we donât even know the full reason as to why Weissârelationship with her brother is soâŚuneasy.
V4 left me with the impression that Weissdoesnât necessarily hate her brother and vice versa but there definitely is anunspoken misunderstanding between the two. From my understanding of what transpired in her part ofthe story for that season, it seems like no matter what Whitley does, even if itâsa genuine act of kindness or concern for his sister, Whit is always seen as connivingor manipulative in Weissâ eyes. Even when heâs not trying to be. That part ofV4 still boggles me and is why Iâm not quick to harp on Whitley as a character.He strikes me as the misjudged black sheep of the Schnee Siblings whoâssomewhat been left behind by his two sisters. All the more reason why Iâmhoping that Weissâ younger years will shed some light on her and Whit having amuch closer bond.
I really love the idea of Weiss singing forWhitley. Maybe when Whitley was a baby, Mamma Schnee used to hum a little tunefor him that she remembered her father: Nicholas Schnee doing for her as achild and Weiss turned that small tune into a song that she used to sing forher baby brother whenever he got sad.
I have not given up on my theory about Weisshaving a personal song she used to sing for her brother as a baby. Will notgive up on this theory.
