Riou is bored, bored as hell.  Lockdown is busy, Beatbox and the others are dealing with Soundtrack's unfortunately abduction, and the base is silent.  Riou was having to keep himself busy, which meant practice in the Rec Room.  It was the sort of thing someone did when they had that much time on their hands.  Practice.

So when his set-up to his terminal pings him of a signal wanting to connect, he stops and pulls out his pad.  Another multiversal signal.  A few of those as of late.  He lets the signal make the connection.
