[ Ω ] - A childminder? How very dare they!

“I am a Goddess, and I wish to be treated as such!”

Pacing, the ornate decoration on her rather formal attire struck out an oddly gentle song. The insolence! This would not be tolerated! If she rejected him, surely he would leave. She had millennia on this snivelling upstart — so why on Earth was he left to ‘mind the recruit’?

Sure, she was a little more temperamental than she used to be, and Hades’s precautions were a very smart move. You had to pity a certain angel, however. Nobody wanted to babysit a hormonal teenage goddess. The Divine brat did nothing but complain for the first week. Complain about how Thunder Cloud Temple wasn’t her Nebula Temple. Complain about having troops under her feet. Complain about having a b a b y s i t t e r. Sure, she understood the risk of attack, and pondering on the thought of annihilating some of Palutena’s Guard would spin her into hysterics, but she never understood why she needed an Orne or five as personal guards. It always made her feel a tad of guilt if she accidentally hit one with her cane-staff, but it was better than ending up finished.

If she wasn’t jittering with excitement, she was oddly quiet for a seemingly young goddess. She had the body of a illustrious young woman — which was almost always hidden beneath her gowns. If there wasn’t a suitable underling around, the angel was often persuaded asked for assistance.

It was on one such slow day that she spoke to the angel without her incessant griping. Perhaps she had been curious. Perhaps she had accepted him. Or, most likely, she had gotten bored. "For what do you serve this army, angel? There must be more than this."

[☾] - With a jolt, the harmonies of the violin stopped, and the normally collected Goddess was on her feet. Some soul was here in her palace. She’d heard them. She could sense them.  She had practically given herself away with her music.

A twang of regret pinched her. The Goddess did so hate fighting. But perhaps she was overthinking herself, perhaps there was nothing to fear.

With a flourish, she was striding across the gardens, and into the great hall at the front of her temple. The twinkling stars both high in the ceiling and those which adorned the Goddess seemed to bear a gravitas. Hands clutched to her violin, her hair whipped as she stared down the intruder.
