Should I or shouldn’t I?

I’ve been pondering starting my own collection of soulmate one-shots, much like Ozhawk and a few others have. Given that many of us write in the same fandoms, there would probably be a lot of overlap as far as pairings and whatnot. Not that overlap is necessarily a bad thing...

I’m not entirely sure why this idea appeals to me, other than the fact that I’ve been ridiculously stressed out. The idea of a collection of little things I could write when my head isn’t in the right place for a longer story is rather attractive. Sometimes when I get stressed, I can write for pages and pages. And other times I just get so worn out that I can’t keep my head on an extended plot. I have a couple of other longer stories I’m working on - “For Want of a Nail” is still in progress, and I have a story outlined for “Bad Moon Rising” (yes, I have Oz’s permission to continue another one). But while I have lots of ideas, I can’t seem to spend more than half an hour at a time working on any of them.

What do other people think? Should I give this a shot? Are there pairings you’d like to see me try my hand at? I know I have a very limited following, both here and with my writing. But I’d still like to know what people think.

MY RESPONSES WERE:

1. Shipper fervor does not ruin my fandom experience on social media because I am as passionate and into the ship as much as the other fans even though things are not going the way I would like them to.

2. The moment that made me cry the most over the last six seasons of TVD was when Damon died on The Other Side in 5x22 (Home). The way he said his goodbye to Elena totally crushed me and let's not forget when Wings by Birdy was playing when Damon and Bonnie disappeared into the whiteness. I couldn't believe that was happening.

3. My favorite kiss was Damon and Elena in 4x23 (Graduation). I loved the whole aspect of it. Elena told him that she wasn't sorry for loving him and for all the choices she made. The whole scene was beautifully shot, the way Damon walks up to her and kisses her while Belong by Cary Brothers is playing made the whole scene 100x amazing.

4. The first time I watched TVD was when season 3 was airing. I was at home during Christmas break. I watched seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix, then waited for season 3 to finish so that when it was available on Netflix I could watch it. I watched live when season 4 started and have been watching live since.

5. I like watching live because I can't wait to watch the following episode and also because I like to go on Tumblr after the episode is over and see what my followers and who I'm following have to say.

6. I would want a crossover of Damon, Elena, Luke, and Liv going to New Orleans to help protect Hope and in return Klaus would find a way to get Elena's memories of Damon back.

7. The song I associated with TVD would have to be Never Let Me Go by Florence + The Machine. This song plays in 3x19 (Heart of Darkness) when Elena and Damon kiss for the second time. The song gives so much feeling when it reaches the chorus and Damon and Elena finally kiss passionately.

8. I like spoilers to some extend but I feel like sometimes I can't help myself and I want to find out more so I cave in but I try my best not to.

9. I haven't really read any fan-fiction lately but I've read some in the past and I really like Delena and Steroline fan-fiction. I don't have any particular writer in mind.

10. I would love to meet Kevin Williamson because he is a hard-die Delena shipper. I just loved the episodes of TVD he has written involving Damon and Elena.
