“Well….uh my name is Scattorshot, and my direct report is…well you I suppose? Since Optimus isn’t around?” he’s so confused.
☀️ ;; For a moment, the Prime simply stared at his newest charge; he had never seen this mech before, nor heard of him. Pits. “Optimus has been removed,” he said carefully, “and I have stepped back into my role as Prime to take care of things. I thought word had already spread throughout the troops. ...What is your rank, Scattorshot?”

⚡️;; Somehow, Wing Saber and Prowl had actually come through on their promise. Thundercracker stood outside Central City Command, his wings held stiffly, awkwardly in their sockets. It had been centuries since he had attempted to do anything like this, and, much like everything else in his life up to this point, he wasn’t quite certain he remembered how to approach the situation: interviewing for a job. The two Autobots had allowed him the clearances to at least start some entry-level work with the planetary leadership, and given that he had been turned down for two other low-skill endeavors recently, he was silently praying that this would actually work in his favor.
All he had to do now was impress someone that he had attempted to offline on a number of occasions. Wonderful.
Taking in a deep vent of air, the Seeker finally marched himself into the building and over to the receptionist sitting near the front. He smiled sheepishly and said, “Uh, howdy. Ah’m here ta see Scattorshot fer an appointment.”
The receptionist gave him a quick look up and down, though he couldn’t read their expression. Finally, they replied: “Very well, I’ll send him a ping. Please have a seat and I will let you know when you can head up.” With that, they pressed a small button on the desk’s glassy surface. Show time.

⚕ -|| Highly-polished floors seemed to glow from the lights that shone above, remaining in such a state even as the two large mecha passed over it. The CMO pushed a hovering seat in front of him down the hall, an old friend perched comfortably in it. At least, he hoped the other was comfortable; much had happened in the past few deca-cyles, and he was hesitant to say that even he was relaxed in any way.
Red Alert had remained silent since they had left the recovery room, and it was odd to admit, but it was getting to him. After resetting his vocoder, he smiled and finally spoke: “Well, it sure does feel strange to be home, doesn’t it? Not to mention, home and not being shot at. Can’t say I’m used to that anymore.”

[🎻] :||:“Have you heard of the Courier Beetles of the Victvinivin Nebula? Supposedly they are as tall as a Cybertronian Combiner, and their exoskeletons can withstand the heat of most suns. Because of this, many claim that they are sent between star systems to carry cargo and information between more primitive societies. However, they do this without ever being noticed by a single living creature, even those that wish to use their services. If you DO see one, however… just be careful to thank them graciously for their services. Otherwise, they may just make you one of them: unseen, unknown, for all eternity.”

"Uh...hi Rodimus sir" He has 3 reports for you and several questions as to where you came from so suddenly
☀️ ;; The Prime looked at the newcomer curiously; he wasn’t expecting company, and was rather surprised to hear that someone was actually doing work around the compound. “Well... hello to you as well, soldier. Who is your direct report? I don’t believe we’ve met.”

“Plans for your what?!” He is just going to stand there looking appalled. When he first caught a glance the plans he had just figured it was speculation and theories, but actual tests and experiments to test such theories was more than a shock.
“Red Alert, I understand you have a natural curiosity for these things, but you aren’t a mad scientist. Why wouldn’t you let me know about this? What if some of these tests are dangerous?”
Granted he hadn’t completely read the documents to know what the experiments were, but he still wanted to make sure his bondmate wasn’t going to accidentally hurt himself trying to solve some mystery.
Wish a sigh he rubbed the side of his face “So….what are you even trying to figure out?”
In retrospect, he should have been consulting his bondmate from the beginning regarding this project. Red Alert vented softly, stroking at his chin guard; it wasn’t all that dangerous compared to other experiments, but even then, their sparks were both involved. To hold such information back any longer would not only have been rude, but potentially detrimental.
“Well... to put it bluntly, I’m trying to figure out how newbuilds were created on the colony worlds.” Shuffling past Scattorshot, he moved towards a stack of datapads on his workstation and pulled two from the lower sections of it. Luckily, nothing fell over. “As you know, they never had access to the Well as Cybertron did--all they had were the Omega Keys, which, by contrast, do not contain as much energy as the entirety of Primus’ spark. It is just enough to give them a slight boost in energy and to cyberform worlds--when properly used, of course--but other than that... they cannot produce new life. So. Where did they come from?”
Simply by speaking with the local Velocitronians he had found a few answers, but none of them made sense. At least, not to his knowledge. Handing over the datapads, he smiled. “I want to test a few theories, based on what I’ve gathered from both Velocitron and Animatros, who each have different methods, so to speak. So, self-experimentation is the only way to go. But... I will require some, ah. Outside assistance.” Meaning, his mate.
what in the world is this!?

It was the only downside to working in a lab at home: Red Alert couldn’t keep anything a secret for very long.
Even so, it was something that he had been planning on sharing with his bondmate eventually, so there likely wasn’t any harm in telling him now. “Well, if I may be frank... I might have been doing a bit of... experimenting. You know, to see what Primus’ upgrades really did to our composition. All of this just happens to be my notes, a few figures... some plans for self-experimentation. You know. The usual mad scientist deal.”
